Hi! Glad to see you're now using a name.

Do you understand the need for a consistant biographical style in this (or any) encyclopedia? Why do you wish Eleanor Roosevelt to have a different style? Sure, the style guide says it's not binding -- but so far, a half dozen editors have changed back your change. This should tell you something about the consensus opinion regarding the style. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 18:53, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Good day!!! I completely understand the need for a "Consistant biographical style" but a "Consistant biographical" style has not been followed in numerous other articles if you would notice. Say Alice Roosevelt Longworth for example uses a similar style along with Beyoncé Knowles, Dennis Quaid among many others. I feel you should check on these and other articles before simply attacking me regarding one single article. Just because half a dozen editors have changed back my change means nothing at all to me. Those other editors should follow suit as well in checking the similar pattern applied in the other articles. Thank YOU! --Centers 13:57, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is this you, having forgotten to login?

What drew my attention was the edit to Corinne Roosevelt Robinson. Do you realize just how many biographical articles are being 'updated' with information about possible LGBT? Latest I ran across was Agnes Moorehead. It is getting to be laughable. (Oooo, I think I'm developing one of those "pet peeve" things - I hope it's not fatal) Shenme 06:02, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Attention to Detail[edit]

I'm glad to see, that you have noted and made some key changes in articles on the Roosevelts. I've been adding lots of photos and other material, expanding articles on the children and parents, and I can see you following up and making minor corrections including corrections to some of my errors. I hope to add more info to a new page on TR's daughter, Ethel. thanks j SimonATL 20:36, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • A picture(s) would be helpful to the page on Ethel as well. There should also be an Article on ER's brother, Hall. Centers 02:19, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • She in my opinion is one of the more interesting Roosevelt's who never received the credit she is due. Thank you. Centers 23:51, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have been unable to locate any photos of Hall Roosevelt other than childhood poses with his father Elliot. Do you know of any on-line sources? SimonATL 05:44, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have seen one pose in particular dated 1935 of Eleanor and Hall. I do believe it was in a biographical book on Eleanor though. If you type in Eleanor Wotkyns or Eleanor Roosevelt Wotkyns, you should be able to find her book entitled, "Before I Forget" and this contains pictures of her father Hall and is easily accessible online.Centers 01:36, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Hall Roosevelt has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to have been noted for much of his own merit (i.e. things outside of family affiliations), and many sources that do mention him at all are more focused on other relatives, which on its own is insufficient to warrant an article

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
