This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Pioneer Day (Paso Robles, California), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.pasoroblespioneerday.org/index.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Guest ranch[edit]

I removed the link you added to the Work Family Guest Ranch from Guest ranch. As I'm sure you can appreciate, if we allow one ranch on the list then every ranch would want to be listed. If this ranch has received awards and recognition then it may be notable enough for an article of its own, in which case it could be added to a list of "notable guest ranches". The criteria for an article is here: WP:ORG, so you can see for yourself if it qualifies.

Also, please be circumspect about adding external links in general. Wikipedia is not a directory of websites, and links are only added to sites which provide uniquely informative material that cna't be hosted on Wikipedia itself. See WP:EL for the applicable guidelines. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 19:36, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

April 2010[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Hearst Castle. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. HkCaGu (talk) 04:12, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Harold W. Roberts[edit]

I really do appreciate that you are attempting to resolve the copyright problem regarding the text you were attempting to add to Harold W. Roberts.

However, there are a couple reasons why we cannot simply take your word that proper permission has been granted. We don't know who you are. We don't know the museum curator. We don't know that they are the author of the words, we don't know that they have the authority to provide permission, and we have no written evidence of such permission. Even if you could get a written statement that says you have permission to "place this information on Wikipedia" that would not be sufficient. We have specific licensing requirements and that type of information does not satisfy our requirements.

On a more positive note, if the copyright holder is willing to provide a suitable license, there is a process by which they can file a permission statement. More information can be found at this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Declaration_of_consent_for_all_enquiries

Sorry that this is so difficult but we have run into situations where people claim permission has been given when it has not, and we have seen other situations where the copyright holder says it is fine to include the material on Wikipedia but when they see the required license they change their mind.--S Philbrick(Talk) 12:42, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the information... My photos were deleted from the page. May I add those? -
