Curious if you recall what source you have for the section on Bethel, Missouri that notes: "However, the construction of the Hannibal & St. Joseph Railroad threatened his theocracy." Looking to update this page with additional town history.

It's been over 4 years since I wrote that, & at the time I did not keep any notes about my sources. IIRC, I took the gist of the material from a column in the Portland Oregonian about the Aurora colony, which made the point that William Keil preferred to govern his followers in a degree of isolation from other folks -- & this led him to move his congregation to Oregon. (I'd have to search through the paper's back issues at the Multnomah County Library to tell you when the article appeared.) As for the bit about him running a "theocracy", I used that term because he was an autocratic religious leader who had extensive control over his followers -- practically a cult. Stewart Holbrook wrote an article about Keil & his group, which is reprinted in Wildmen, Wobblies & Whistle Punks, ed. Brian Booth (ISBN 0-87071-383-3). -- llywrch (talk) 23:59, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Milagro Vargas.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use.
