File source problem with File:Yumjaagiin Tsedenbal.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Yumjaagiin Tsedenbal.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Better source request for some of your uploads

[edit]

Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the images, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image files themselves. Please update the image descriptions with URLs that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:16, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File uploads

[edit]

Hi, I just deleted an image you requested you had deleted, and I noticed you uploaded quite a few images. I'd like to double check the copyright status with you. Did you really take all the pictures yourself? If so, that's fine, but if not, we will probably have to delete them. For example, can you indicate how and when you took File:Jamsrangiin Tseveen.jpg and File:Yumjaagiin Tsedenbal.jpg?

I found the source of one of the images you uploaded here, and another here, which are credited to different photographers, so it can't be all yours. I'm afraid I'm going to have to delete them all, because of their copyright status. If you have any questions about copyright, please do ask - and whatever you do, if you're not 100% sure you own the copyright, don't upload anything else. I see you haven't been here for a few days, and it would be a shame if you left Wikipedia over this. People often misunderstand image copyright, and assume that if an image exists on the internet, it's ok to use it. This isn't the case, and you learned this the hard way, but that shouldn't be a reason to leave Wikipedia. Regards, Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 10:08, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
