They should do an article about gangs here in houston. There used to be a gang called dark angels. Some of the members didn't like the leaders so they quit and made their own gang and called it La Primera and used the color white. Dark Angels changed their name to Southwest cholos and continued using black. La Primera is actually 2 seperate gangs LP 90ST and LP 7400ST. They are hardly a threat the sheriff, constables, Houston police, homeowners, business owners, and southwest cholos beat them up. There is another gang called SPPL it stands for somos pocos pero locos they use white but they are unrelated to La Primera. La Primera is very secretive in what they do it is rare to see one. I have only seen maybe 10 of them. They are usually reclusive. I believe it might be because southwest cholos hunts them and their color is black. But unless they have black flags you might not be able to tell someone in southwest cholos from someonw that likes the color black. Best time to spot LPs is about 4-6am between the 6800 and 8000 block of bellaire or about 3-4pm at sharpstown. They leave well before sundown before southwest cholos comes out and are only active for about an hour early in the morning. Southwest cholos is active most of the afternoon and night until about 2am. If you encounter an LP if you sufficiently intimidate them they will leave and find an easier target. Southwest cholos will leave you alone if you leave them alone they won't mess with people that are not in rival gangs. As long as you intimidate an LP before they decide what they are going to do it will work. One way I did this at a gas station I was buying gas and 2 came up to me and called me a "chohoe" and then wanted to know if I had money they were wanting to know if I had money so they could rob me. I immediately grabbed one of their throats and slammed him down on the ground they decided to leave.
