List of soap episodes
[edit]Hello Charity - I spotted your message on Rynewell91's talk page, but I suspect he probably won't reply as he last edited here in 2012. Just poking my nose in - I noticed you're working on some list of soap episodes in your sandbox and I was just a bit worried they might be a little ambitious for such long running series.
According to the article about it, there have been 9,841 episodes of Coronation Street alone, and I can imagine they might become almost impossible to manage, especially if you're planning to keep up the level of detail you've used on your draft of the first three episodes of the 1961 series. Because soaps tend to have long over-lapping story arcs rather than distinct episodes the solution in the past has been something like Coronation Street timeline for example. (There was an attempt to a list of episodes in 2012 by the look of things, which was redirected).
Anyway, I don't want to put you off, but as a new user, I was a bit worried you might be taking on a Herculean task and one that potentially might end up getting redirected if it has no more content than a list of actors and plot details. I wonder if you might be best to ask the advice of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Soap Operas or on the respective soap talk pages - there's also some guidance here.
My advice would be that you could try is writing an article about the first ever episode of those soaps, or perhaps some famous episodes (things like anniversary live specials, that tend to have reviews) - the preparation, the reception to them from critics etc. Those can be really interesting. There is one for Episode 1 (Coronation Street) which could be a really good article with additional references etc. Bob talk 20:31, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
