Disambiguation pages[edit]

Thank you for your recent edits to disambiguation pages. I removed your addition of Assumption to the disambiguation page Assumption for several reasons. First, Assume is a redirect to Assumption, so adding the link accomplishes nothing. Second, definitions aren't generally added to DAB pages unless there is an article on that word. A {{wiktionary}} template is generally added at the top to provide dictionary definitions, and Assume is included in the template on Assumption. Finally, links should go to the regular version of Wikipedia, not the mobile version. If you would like to read more about disambiguation pages, please look at Wikipedia:Disambiguation and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages. Assume[edit]

It is not general practice to add content to redirect pages. Readers won't see that content since their browsers will immediately go to the target page. Since there are no entries on Assumption that disambiguate 'Assume', I have redirected Assume to the Wiktionary page. Leschnei (talk) 12:48, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
