Thanks

[edit]

I just wanted to thank you for turning Lenny Hambro into such a great article. — Reinyday, 20:57, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

You're Welcome!

[edit]

Thanks Reinyday. Lenny is a relative who I knew as a child. I've noticed your interest but can't explain it... can you? As a Wikipedia neophyte, I'm not sure this is the best way to respond but, there it is. — Charley, 6 November 2008

Arnold Fishkin[d]

[edit]

I didn't want to directly edit the Lenny Hambro page since you've done such a fantastic job with it. But I'd like to suggest you correct the spelling of bassist Arnold Fishkin[d]'s surname on that page to "Fishkind". (This all came to my attention because Arnold Fishkind's grandson taught me skateboarding, and several years and skinned knees into that friendship he told me a little about his grandfather.) Unfortunately someone got Fishkind's name wrong back in the 40's when listing him in some credits, and that misspelling just keeps on rolling along in about half the references to his work. I tried to outline this on the Arnold Fishkind Talk page. The "Arnold Fishkin" link on WP is now a redirect to the correct spelling... Anyhow, I just leave this suggestion for your consideration. Arnold Fishkind it is

[edit]

Thanks, I'll make the change. As it states in the article, Lenny Hambro's first name is often cited as Lennie, which he didn't use himself after the mid-50s. My approach is the name belongs to the individual; one spells it the way they spell it. Charley CharleyHart (talk) 13:22, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'll be reviewing [Lenny Hambro]] for GA status. The review is at Talk:Lenny Hambro/GA1, where I've left a few points that need fixing but once those are done, i should be able to pass it. Feel free to get in touch on my talk page of you want me. Best, HJ Mitchell | April Fool! 14:18, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, have you had chance to make nay progress yet? I'm happy to clarify any of the suggestions and there's nothing big that needs doing, really. The article is in great shape and very near to GA, it would be a shame to fail it after it's come this far. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:54, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Charley, I really admire what you've done for the Lenny Hambro page. I am researching for my dissertation on Emanuel Vardi and was very interested in your information on their collaboration. Could you possibly contact me? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenny_Hambro Thanks, Lydia — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fidelio525 (talkcontribs) 23:02, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
