Hello![edit]

Hello Cheenarman! It appears you moved Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Singapore-related articles to mainspace, but since it is not an encyclopedic article (it just specifies the style Wikipedia articles should use) I've moved it back. The article you created East Asian naming customs is currently better explained in a subsection of the article Personal name so I've redirected it there, but you can of course remove the redirect and expand the article. I see you've created Template:East Asian naming customs, is it necessary to have a general template for East Asian names? Maybe it's enough to use the specific Template:Chinese name and Template:Korean name? With regards, – Thjarkur (talk) 14:39, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

August 2019[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because you have an inappropriate username - appears to be a racist take on "Chinaman" (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you think there are good reasons why these don't describe your account, or why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. I am open to discussion on a rename request, but I think your current username is highly inappropriate. Sasquatch t|c 17:56, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Singaporean name requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Requested username:

Request reason:

No offence was intended initially. If we can't accept change, it's unfortunate.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yunshui  08:32, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cheenarman, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
