Improving The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Wikipedia article

[edit]

@Grand'mere Eugene, Currently working a a pretty big rewrite of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society article. I'm going to WP:Move Leukemia & Lymphoma Society >>> The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since the current article is incorrect. Second, the current references are REALLY bad so I'm still working on re-sourcing the entire article in my sandbox.

Curious if the topic interests you. If so, I think the cleanest place to start is the History section; the current section is 2 sentences with no secondary sources. Let me know what you think! Best --Chefmikesf (talk) 19:43, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invite. I'll take a look next week-- have plans to be at the beach this weekend! — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 19:52, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Have a great weekend at the beach! That sounds like a good idea, It's going to be in the mid 90s here in SoCal. Talk to you then. --Chefmikesf (talk) 19:59, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Chefmikesf, I have found more than 40 sources on Proquest dating back to 1950-- some are PR Wire articles, but many are reprints of NYT articles and some research articles that I may be able to find on urls not behind a paywall. I'll sift through and list them here in the next few days. Cheers! — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 00:07, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's great @Grand'mere Eugene! Another Wikipedian added a banner to the article but they don't have interest to improve it so we are clear to update the article. SEE the LLS page for the convo. Also, feel free to post the list of references here, I can help sort through them. To start, would you be OK if we updated the lead and infobox?--Chefmikesf (talk) 23:14, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Chefmikesf, sorry, I think I dropped the ball here. Made updates to the lead and infobox , and went ahead with whole History section revisions. It can always be revised if need be. — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 21:34, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
