Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:11, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Smithsonian Institution Archives Edit-a-Thon and Meetup![edit]

Who should come? You should. Really.
She Blinded Me with Science: Smithsonian Women in Science Edit-a-Thon will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Smithsonian Archives in Washington, D.C. This edit-a-thon will focus on improving and writing Wikipedia content about women from the Smithsonian who contributed to the sciences. It will be followed by a happy hour meetup! We look forward to seeing you there!

...and if you do not live in the Washington, D.C. area, please forgive the intrusion and you can delete this invite! Sarah (talk) 04:47, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on your sandbox work[edit]

Hi, just replying to the questions you left on Buggie's talk page in case he can't get back to you right away. First of all, good for you for taking a bold stand on changing the article's title! I see you posted on the talk page, which is a great place to get some feedback-- I hope you get a response soon! In the meantime, though, I would suggest that you do a bit more searching around to see if any articles that would be comparable to "health issues in athletics" exist already. If not, and you still want to pursue the merge and renaming that you mention, you will need to be prepared to defend your opinion that it needs to be done!

But even as it stands, it looks like you have made some good edits that should be able to fit into the current article. I might, though, keep Sports-related death separate, as it's beyond injury/illness. Also, are you sure you want to join together injury and illness?

It's also possible that, if you want to challenge the 6-18 age range mentioned in the youth athletics article, you can, since they don't offer a citation, and 18 seems like an arbitrary age.

You are welcome to drop by during office hours to see Rob and me if you want to talk through the options some more! Sleuthwood (talk) 20:26, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
