Proposed deletion of SyrianFreePress[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, SyrianFreePress, has been proposed for the following reason:

No reliable sources whatsoever

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Mephtalk 08:04, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing of external links.[edit]

I actually did have a reason for removing those links. We are trying to cut down on the size of the article, so some of those don't really need to be in the article. It already links to the Arab Spring, so it doesn't really need to link to specific other countries in the Arab Spring, also, at this point, nonviolent resistence doesnt really apply anymore. SyrianFreePress is a stub that doesn't contain ANY useful information. I kept the others. Jeancey (talk) 19:35, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I can see your point now about the extra links but that is not a sufficient reason to delete these links as they have value in being in See Also section. Also SyrianFreePress is one of the major 5 groups that provides updates about Syrian revolution and it is related to Syrian uprising, I guess it will be useful to add a section about these groups and link them from there. What do you think about that? Also you did keep Syrian Revolution General Commission page which also doesn't provide ANY useful information. I am just pointing that up to show a little biased changes here. Chornox (talk)
Actually, that was the ONE I didn't check. I think I removed it the first time though, just not this second time. If it doesn't contain any useful info, it can be removed as well. Jeancey (talk) 06:52, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I just modified the See Also section. I will update another section to cover these media groups in Syrian uprising page. If you have any objection please do reply here. Thanks, Chornox (talk) 4:20, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
