Brisbane meetup[edit]

A list of people interested in coming, and a discussion space has been created at Wikipedia:Meetup/Brisbane/8. Hope to see you there! Kerry (talk) 08:32, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ross Fitzgerald[edit]

Hi Chris. I refer to your edit here: [1]. As per WP:REALTIME, please do not use terms like "Ross Fitzgerald's latest book" on Wikipedia, rather just add the year the book was published I.e, "In 2018, Fitzgerald published the book ... ". However please also be advised that as per WP:LEAD, the lead section of an article is supposed to summarise the article's most important points. Having information about a co-author and publishing company for one book only in the lead is therefore extreme over-detail, and could be considered verging on advertising; see WP:PROMO. These are the reasons I have removed and relocated the information you added. Have a nice day. Freikorp (talk) 12:50, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MarioGom I refer to the above. There is intended to be amendments to this article. What time frame is there for consideration? Chrisgriffith (talk) 09:34, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Chris Griffith requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – NJD-DE (talk) 21:55, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

May 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Reliable sources[edit]

Hello Chris, I'm assuming you would have become aware by now of Wikipedia's core policies around what justifies an article, but for the absence of doubt: essentially individuals are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. So while I wasn't able to find any reliable sources discussing you doesn't mean such sources don't exist, or that you may be aware of some? As I wrote on the [AfD], I think to justify an entry for you would require meeting WP:JOURNALIST. So if you are aware of any reliable sources please consider adding them to your page, or ping me (by replying here and opening your reply with "@Cabrils:") and I would be happy to see what can be done. I do appreciate your tech reviews! Cabrils (talk) 22:45, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you @Cabrils I appreciate your care and courtesy handling this. I am a bit snowed now but will certainly take up your suggestions. Enjoy this interesting role you have with Wikipedia. Best wishes.Chrisgriffith (talk) 06:44, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries Chris. Cabrils (talk) 08:29, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
