Yes, it is ok that you edited in the box... But to let you know, you can edit your page to respond to someone (as you just did) and they can respond to you if they notice that you edited your page and added a reply. But, not everyone does this. Therefore, you can also reply by adding a reply in a new section on someone else's talk page. When you do this, they get a yellow box on top of the page (as you just saw) and they can reply to you. The latter is the more used of the two. And also, make it VERY CLEAR which option you will use to the other editors by saying so at the very top of this page, or on your user page.
Also, I wan't to add this note in to you as a newbie. This is very important and is a big misconception about Wikipedia. Wikipedia is NOT about "the truth". Wikipedia is about verifiability and notability. If you can't prove it, we don't want it. If it is not important, we don't want it.That is pretty much it. Understand? Also, I don't know what you are doing when your typing responses, but they stick on to the previous paragraph. Start your responses on a new line and but as many ::: as needed; don't just add them in the middle and think they will work. I Help, When I Can.[12] 01:54, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I forget the ::: part sometimes, I always make sure to start on a new line though...But it's not enough. :) However, in some instances I have done it purposefully when I am adding to something I have already posted a short time ago.
