Twinkle[edit]

Hi Christina Silverman, I noticed you've been doing quite a bit of vandalism fighting recently and have been manually undoing and warning users and IP's. You might like to consider the Twinkle tool as it'll allow you to revert unproductive edits faster than manually undoing them and will also semi-automatically warn users and IP's for unconstructive edits. If you're interested in installing it you can do so by going to your preferences clicking on the "Gadgets" tab and checking the box next to Twinkle under the "Editing Gadgets" section. I see you're fairly new here, if you have any questions regarding Twinkle or any other Wikipedia-related matter feel free to leave me a note on my talk page and I'll do my best to help you out. Cheers, Jeffrey Mall (talkcontribs) - 01:38, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds good. I'll try it out and if I need any help, I'll let you know. Thanks a bunch! Christina Silverman (talk) 01:42, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Christina, thanks for your rectification of the Royal Navy vandalism. I've been trying to improve that article and I appreciate people keeping an eye on it. I see you're new; if you want some assistance from an administrator at some point, please contact me. Best regards from Aotearoa New Zealand Buckshot06 (talk) 03:13, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, more than happy to do it! Kind regards. Christina Silverman (talk) 04:39, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism?[edit]

What about my edits constituted vandalism?

It was a mistake on my part,I fixed it. Very sorry! Christina Silverman (talk) 05:01, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

lol, no worriesDkriegls (talk) 05:02, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just out of curiosity, what triggered your vandalism inspection?
Just going through the recent changes and I misread one of your edits. Won't let it happen again.Christina Silverman (talk) 18:38, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I wouldn't worry too much about making mistakes while patrolling recent changes, diffs get misread at recent changes all the time, it happens, even to us who've been here a while (myself included). We do expect all users who use semi-automatic vandal fighting tools such as Twinkle to use them responsibly but we don't expect anyone to be perfect. Adoption[edit]

Hey! I see you're looking for an experienced user to adopt you. I'd be more than happy to do so. If you like, just let me know. Feel free to respond under this message or at my talk page here. If not, you can click undo here if you would like to wait for an offer from a different user (this will put you back into the category of users seeking adoption). Regards, SwarmTalk 02:51, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Great. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you too, I was out of town and away from my computer. Anyway, I'm now here if you need help with anything whatsoever. SwarmTalk 16:17, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Quantum physics[edit]

Hi,

when the observation changes the thing being observed it _is_ like in quantum physics. I was totally serious and still am.

Thanks for listening :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.12.118.176 (talk) 17:50, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Diffs[edit]

Alright, first you go to the page that shows the vandalism edit. Go to the page's history with the tab at the top, and select the two edits you want to compare, the pre-vandalism revision and the next edit (the vandalism edit) and click on "compare selected revisions". When you're on that page that shows the vandal's edit, copy the URL from your address bar and place it in between single brackets. The code would look like this: "[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3ASandbox&action=historysubmit&diff=369640282&oldid=369635220]", and show up as this: [1]. For future reference, to make the diff appear as text, just add a space after the link and before the text. ([http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3ASandbox&action=historysubmit&diff=369640282&oldid=369635220 this] equals this). SwarmTalk 23:50, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the help! Christina Silverman (talk) 00:41, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! SwarmTalk 08:56, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help on the NFL article, i didn't know how to protect an article.. yet :P im still a newbie ! T-oliveira (talk) 01:34, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! I'm glad to have helped out. If you need an article protected you can either contact an admin, or file a request at Wikipedia:Requests for Page Protection. Christina Silverman (talk) 01:38, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A suggestion[edit]

Hey Christina, I noticed you've been doing tons of vandalism fighting. You may want to consider requesting the rollback permission. It gives you access to the rollback feature; basically a button that instantly reverts the latest change of the article (or if the latest edits were consecutively made by one person, it reverts all of them).

More so, it gives you permission to use Huggle, a program that constantly refreshes itself with "filtered edits", or edits that might be vandalism, and allows you to instantly warn, revert and warn, or just revert clear cases of vandalism with the click of a button. It's incredibly fast and easy when it comes to reverting vandalism, since you don't need to sort through recent changes yourself. Once you get the hang of it you can make dozens of reverts in a relatively short amount of time.

Anyway, just a suggestion since you're involved in vandalism fighting. With hundreds of edits of vandalism fighting, I'm almost certain you'll be granted the feature. Almost forgot, you can request it at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Rollback. Regards, SwarmTalk 03:55, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll go file a request right now. Christina Silverman (talk) 01:58, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[edit]

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you do not want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 02:19, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
