October 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm ThaddeusSholto. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Thank you for your feedback, ThaddeusSholto. I have adhered to Wikipedia's neutrality and sourcing guidelines while updating the intro. I am open to discussion and collaboration to ensure the article reflects a neutral point of view. Would you mind providing specific feedback on which part of the edit appeared non-neutral so I can address it?
Thank you. ChristoParis (talk) 14:55, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"celebrated for his soulful infusion"
"Emerging onto the music scene"
"Benny's signature sound has not only garnered him international acclaim but also forged collaborative paths with globally recognized artists"
"caught the ears of the international music community"
All these statements are unrefernced and absolutely WP:PUFFERY, MOS:WEASEL and MOS:OP-ED. You took a NPOV and informative intro and turned it into a press release. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 14:59, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @ThaddeusSholto for your eagle-eyed scrutiny and for educating me on the guidelines -- WP:PUFFERY, MOS:WEASEL, and MOS:OP-ED were terms I was unfamiliar with, and I appreciate the enlightenment.
Apologies for the inadvertent promotional tone in my edits. My background as a UX Researcher and a fervent patron of the arts sometimes gets the better of my enthusiasm, especially in a domain I hold in high regard like Wikipedia. The platform's communal endeavor for truth and knowledge resonates with my professional and personal ethos. However, I understand that every reputable forum has its standards, and I’m here to learn and adhere.
I’ll revisit my edit, excise the puffery, weed out the weasel words, and steer clear of op-ed territory.
I aim to contribute with the same objective lens that long-standing and adept editors like yourself employ.
Your feedback is a stepping stone towards that goal. ChristoParis (talk) 15:08, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
