September 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Chris Mason (darts player). When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

The text in the article about Mason's arrest for benefits fraud is supported by reliable sources; I looked at the newspaper story to verify it. If the charges were subsequently dismissed, please provide a link to other reliable sources that will verify the dismissal. You may place that link at Talk:Chris Mason (darts player). —C.Fred (talk) 13:35, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A word about autobiographies[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself, as you did at Chris Mason (darts player). Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged - see our guideline Writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedians with articles.) Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.

One of the problems with your edits is that you replaced verifiable text supported by reliable sources with text back by no citation of a source. To delete the text already in the article, you'll need to demonstrate—with independent sources and not based on your own personal experience—that the text is in error or not relevant to the article.

I suggest reviewing the guidelines on autobiographies. They include a contact email if you want them to verify that you are the subject of the article; as an administrator, I can't do that, but the volunteer response team can. —C.Fred (talk) 18:15, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can I have a email address to send the Judgestranscripts regarding the alledged hammer attack, also I will supply a letter from the local authorities regarding the alledged besfit fraud. Just cause some local reporter puts nonsense in the newspaper you believe it? Only those with bottomless pockets can get appologies from newspapers.

How can I NOT write my own page? at least its verified and truthful. I cant help but notice on Phil Taylors page there is no information regarding his guilty charge for 2 counts of sexual assault?

The majority of my wiki page is untrue and biased due to haters information not factual information, I would appreciate some help on this matter as its gone on too long, I have done an interview on www.thedartsforum.com to explain this.

Chris Mason[edit]

The facts I checked were reported in a newspaper. No evidence was presented at that time to discredit the newspaper report.
I suggest you contact WP:OTRS at info-en-q@wikimedia.org for followup. —C.Fred (talk) 19:15, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

advice[edit]

I have contacted the above and am awaiting reply, I would just like to confirm that you are responsible for this page? also can I have your full name. Regards Chris Mason

Wikipage[edit]

Are you responsible for the pages content, can you add remove and correct its content, I will personally email you all the details so this can finally put an end to this page. Thanks Chris Mason

I still havent recieved a email from you or from where I should send proof of the incorrect content of the Chris Mason page, as I have said I will be taking a legal stance on this matter as it is creating problems for me and my future. I have made countless attempts to have this page corrected and continue to go through the right channels, can you please assist me in getting this matter dealt with. My email is chris180mason@hotmail.com as I have said I have judges transcripts I would like to present to you and I would like the page corrected. Kind Regards Chris Mason

I can't speak for OTRS, so I don't know what kind of backlog the volunteer response team has. (Or whose return address will show on the message; your spam filter could have pushed it aside, so you might want to take a look at your junk/spam folder.)
I can only speak for Wikipedia policy, and one of those is no legal threats. Please address your concerns about Wikipedia via Wikipedia channels. When a user has declared intent to take legal action about an article, the usual procedure is to block their account until the action is resolved. —C.Fred (talk) 14:40, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have also updated Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Chris Mason (darts player) to request extra editors to review the situation. —C.Fred (talk) 14:48, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

chrismason[edit]

Hi, I have stiil not recieved any correspondance from wiki re my Chris Mason (dart player) page. I have spoke to staffordshire police and the magistrates courts re the charges for the fraud as shown on my page, I didnt get charged with fraud, and I was only fined £100 for failing to complete a claim for correctly, I am having this fact sent in a letter advising myself and wiki of the charges. I would also advise that in the past the page suggested I took part in a hammer attack, could you make this apparent in the page that I didnt have a weapon and was only charged because I passed the threshold of the door which made me guilty of agrevaited burglary. I do appreciate you have already made some changes of which I genuinely appreciate. Thanks Chris Mason
