Barons North[edit]

Greetings! I see you've been adding information on the Barons North. I've cleaned up your entry for Baron North to reflect our stereotyped style for articles on peerages; you may want to look at that to get an idea of the format. We also have succession boxes for peerage titles, which I've added to the bottom of the articles on the 3rd and 4th Baron North. Choess 07:09, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Simon Willard[edit]

Hi, dear wikipedian. I have done some expansion in the Simon Willard article. I would like that you tell me your opinion. Anytime. --AndresArce 20:02, 21 October 2006 (UTC)AndresArce[reply]

Hi, dear Wikipedian. I have been doing some informs which were about Simon Willard. I would appreciate that you may tell me your opinion.

Actually, one last article is left and all my inform will be complete. It will take about two days. --AndresArce 20:02, 1 November 2006 (UTC)AndresArce[reply]

Willard Brothers[edit]

Hi, dear Wikipedian. I have written a new article which is about Willard Brothers & whose function would be progressively to shorten other articles which are also about that family. Please, tell me your opinion. Anytime.--AndresArce 21:21, 23 October 2006 (UTC)AndresArce[reply]

Hi Chroniclev. First, I'd like to offer congratulations on this now eight-month-old edit, which provided a great base for the page, as well as your continued maintenance of it. I'm going to try to expand the page further as I have some papers to work after doing-up cougar; I was hoping you might want to help. I'll probably place a couple of fact tags from time-to-time if I can't reference stuff myself. In general, the referencing is great (very refreshing to come to a page that's already in good page) but certain things demand cites (e.g. "Of fifteen Bobcats tracked, the yearly survival rate averaged 0.624, with females having the same rate as males").

One other thought I had is that Canadian Lynx is a very weak page in comparison. Is it included in Whitaker and your other book sources? I'll try to work on that one as well. Cheers, Marskell 09:13, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. There's a couple of last cite requests in the article: the description of the tracks and the paragraph about three hunting techniques. With these taken care of and a few other twiddles, I'm going to take it to FAC. Cheers, Marskell 04:17, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Check it out: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Bobcat. Great work. Any last little fixes can be taken care over the course of the nomination. Marskell 12:01, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"However, another version represents them with equality and identicality." Someone in the FAC rightly asked from where this version came from; the previous sentence is assigned to a specific culture, but not this one. Also, I might shorten the rabbit story. It's good to have it to fill out the section, but reads as too over-specific. (Nice work gathering things together on the myth section, BTW.) Almost there! Marskell 14:41, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Heh I missed that, thanks. Also do feel free to make edits as necessary. I added that story because two comments were made on the mythology that it was too vague and not specific enough. --Chroniclev 00:52, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Xblalogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Xblalogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:32, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lion season - one in all in[edit]

Marskell wants to get Lion to FA and reckons (prob'ly rightly) its a pretty tall order for one editor - I'm thinking ambitiously but it could be a cracker - say 50-60kb and 120 odd refs or so. I have laid it out as per Jaguar FA but it is pretty bare. One of us could do Lion-taming, one Lion-baiting, one conservation etc. Could be fun. cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 02:52, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, thanks, but I wouldn't want to get in the way. Although I was thinking of working on another cat article. --Chroniclev 05:57, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[edit]

The Fauna Barnstar
For all of your excellent work expanding, maintaining, and sourcing Bobcat, I award you the Fauna Barnstar. I really enjoyed the collaboration. Marskell 07:47, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ogyu Sorai[edit]

I was reading the CACM article and discovered that you're the one to have notice the problem with this article that was pointed out by the CACM article author and fixed it. Good job! Was just wondering if you were also reading the article and that's why you fixed it? --Edchi (talk) 22:51, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Bf47.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Bf47.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Xladb.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Xladb.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 08:20, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hope you're not gone...[edit]

I still think fondly of our working together on Bobcat and hope you'll dig back in to Wikipedia :). Plenty of cats out there! Marskell (talk) 21:04, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you, I still try to edit when I can. --Chroniclev (talk) 23:19, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Muskhogean stock has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unreferenced stub for outdated, unused term

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Better source request for File:OsmondFisher.JPG[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:11, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
