Edit summary

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Hyacinth (talk) 19:01, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello? Hyacinth (talk) 22:20, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just the message above regarding edit summaries. I often simply copy the text I added to or altered on a page in the edit summary, or use an arrow to indicate changes ("teh-->the", for example). They often save people time as they help editors decide if they want to check out your edit (for instance a minor edit to correct a single spelling error by an editor you trust might not be worth checking out while a major rearrangement of a page might be). Hyacinth (talk) 01:10, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I don't think edit summaries are a huge deal (I don't think not including them will get you disciplined). Hyacinth (talk) 16:56, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

IMSLP

[edit]

I think Commons:Template:PD-old would probably work for File:Vierne Photo.jpg, however I created Commons:Template:IMSLP. I don't think the template is complete (it probably needs more information about IMSLP's standards), but hopefully it is a start and may be used by other people. Regarding Organ of the Basilica of St. Martin (Weingarten), the first thing I notice is the giant space that the beginning of the section "Specification of the organ" caused by the images. Hyacinth (talk) 10:16, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

November 2012

[edit]

Hello, I'm Waldhorn. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Pipe organ, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.  —Waldhorn (talk) 23:00, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Organ builder

[edit]

Thank you for Christian Müller (organ builder)! If you could supply inline citations, this article would qualify to appear in a one-liner "Did you know ..." on the Main page. Please reply here, I will watch, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:24, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Name days in Greece, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Theophilus and Saint Paraskevi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
