August 2023

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Gabonese Air Force, you may be blocked from editing. Do not remove properly sourced information from articles. SurferSquall (talk) 02:12, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

Planespotter is NOT WP:RS, hence it is not properly sourced information. If you look up flightaware/flightradar, you will notice that TR-KJF was just arrived in Gabon yesterday. So within today and next few days, there will be official report that aircraft is delivered and only by then, we include it on inventory table. Ckfasdf (talk) 02:40, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
Comment: Some governments have been know to keep certain acquisitions, out of the media due to financial & political issue. - FOX 52 talk! 06:18, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
Somewhat true. However, in case of Gabon, there was news on acquisition plan for c-295 by loan starting on 27 June 2023. So it was not really out of media. Ckfasdf (talk) 07:27, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
And now according to this one landed in Libreville the capital of Gabon on August 11th - FOX 52 talk! 15:28, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
I know, I also said that on my first reply above. It's just no news about that yet, that's why I suggest to wait for another few days. Ckfasdf (talk) 21:37, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
There doesn’t need to be “news” of it. We have two valid sources stating it’s delivered. SurferSquall (talk) 13:32, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
I am not quite comfortable to use flight tracking website as source as I don't know where they fit in WP:RS. Personally, I would only use them as initial information and look up for secondary source elsewhere. At any case, if other source is available, I may change that reference. Ckfasdf (talk) 14:11, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
FlightRadar24 is a perfectly reliable source. Changing the reference is unnecessary, but you’re welcome to add references SurferSquall (talk) 14:28, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

The second source I added stated the C-295 was delivered. Clearly you did not bother to read it before deleting it. SurferSquall (talk) 16:58, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

@SurferSquall: Let's dial back on the warings, as you to have engaged in some edit warring of you own. Thanks - FOX 52 talk! 17:17, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
Only re-adding information that belongs there… SurferSquall (talk) 13:31, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
The fact is on 8 August, C-295 was just leaving Spain. So it's not really count as "delivered". Ckfasdf (talk) 21:37, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
Yes and landed in Libreville the capital of Gabon on August 11th - FOX 52 talk! 05:48, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
And it landed on Gabon August 11. So yes, it is indeed delivered. SurferSquall (talk) 13:31, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

Oryx as a source

I need your input on this,Fox52keeps re-editing the afghan air force page Kashiff17 (talk) 16:26, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

@Kashiff17: I don't think he will listen to me. Try to bring the issue in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history and ask for more input from other experienced editor. Ckfasdf (talk) 19:35, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
the source he cited has updated its info with the author of the oryx website pages input Lucas muller and admin is saying the debate was evenly split when it was just Fox52 who disagreed need your help in convincing the admin that.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty is one of propaganda media of United States, so it'll be most likely to portray Afghan taliban govt in bad light. We need to be careful when using such biased source per WP:NPOV. I am still suggesting you to at least invite editor from WP:MILHIST to join that discussion. Ckfasdf (talk) 20:40, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
This isn't about fox52,its an admin
User:Ohnoitsjamieas the person who started the Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 410i need you to tell him what its conclusion was. Kashiff17 (talk) 05:53, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
@Kashiff17: I would advise you to be careful, on your wording as WP:Campaigning, can get you blocked - FOX 52 talk! 21:55, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
I would advise you the same since your last statement in this thread would be considered Wikipedia:Canvassing#Campaigning Kashiff17 (talk) 03:20, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
