ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

September 2020[edit]

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the plot summary of a work have been removed because they added a significant amount of unnecessary detail. Please avoid excessive detail and high word counts when editing plot summaries/synopses. You may read the plot summary edit guides to learn more about contributing constructively to plot summaries/synopses. There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

Regarding YouTube as a source[edit]

Hi Classic-Cartoons,

thank you very much for reverting your recent addition to the Broadcast signal intrusion article.

As you have hopefully correctly noticed, most YouTube channels are not reliable sources, because they are self-published and usually do not meet Wikipedia's standards for article sources.

Further details can be found at WP:RSP, a list of sources that also contains an informative entry about YouTube.

Please be more careful in advance next time. As this has been a persistent problem in the past, leading to two blocks, please carefully avoid being blocked from editing, indefinitely, for not having learned from these mistakes after all the time.

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:11, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

November 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mvcg66b3r. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, WNOL-TV, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 18:44, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Call me when you get the chance 22:30, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Stunting (broadcasting), you may be blocked from editing. ViperSnake151  Talk  05:48, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ToBeFree: While we're at it, let's also ban Classic-Cartoons from Commons; he has been uploading non-free images as his "own work", and also poorly drawn derivative works of non-free logos with no educational value. See his Commons talk page. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 14:00, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mvcg66b3r, thanks for dealing with the Commons copyright issues. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:58, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
ToBeFree, But he's still there; the questionable files haven't been removed yet. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 21:02, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I can't change that. 🙂 Such requests are usually handled quickly, though. Give them 24 hours. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:24, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I meant commons:Template:Copyvio. These are handled quickly. The template is only for very obvious cases, however. Now that discussions exist, you need to wait for them to be closed. This may take multiple months. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:27, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
