Notability of Claudia's Corner

[edit]

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Claudia's Corner has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

The Claudia's Corner article appeared to be about you. I would have moved it to your user page, but you already had that content at User:Claudiamoore.C.Fred (talk) 22:05, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In reply to the message you left me:

Fred--the information I provided was for an assignment that should have remained on Wikipedia. My instructor would be able to pull up the site and find my page with basic information about me. Plus, I'm experimenting with the uses of this site. If deleted, I'll need to enter another page so that my instructor can check the exercise...and who are you...wiki patrol? :-)))

If you need to experiment or create anything that is not a valid article, you should be doing it in your user space. You have a user page where you can write about yourself: User:Claudiamoore. That page has been left intact. You can also create other test pages in your user space, such as User:Claudiamoore/Sandbox or User:Claudiamoore/Class assignment. The key is to start the name with User:Claudiamoore/ so that the page is in your user space and not the main encyclopedia.

Your instructor should have provided clearer guidance to you on this, since none of your classmates are likely to be notable either—if they create articles, they will be deleted as well.

And finally, I am an administrator (which is why I was able to delete the page), but any user could've checked the list of recent change, seen the page, and tagged it to request deletion. —C.Fred (talk) 01:04, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
