A tag has been placed on File:GI Joe PSA 15.png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Stop all the downloadin! (I'm the original uploader and am requesting deletion)

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Hello, I'm I dream of horses. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Gina Rodriguez with this edit without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, I dream of horses @ 19:46, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The entire submission was a blatant copyright violation from IMDB. We'll have the full story... at 11! 19:49, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, my apologies, then. --I dream of horses @ 19:51, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Actually, the AFC helper script actually blanks the page automatically and tags it for speedy deletion if you choose copyvio as the decline reason. We'll have the full story... at 11! 19:52, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know! --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 02:53, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You nominated the above article for Speedy Deletion under the G12 (Spam/Unambigious Advertisment) heading. Because AfC is typically where newish editors go to submit their attempts at creating an article we generally give them greater leeway in attempting to construct a viable article. I have declined your speedy because there's enough content (Pre-course history, Course Construction, Pros who give instruction) to justify a potential article in the future. I did some improvement on the article in terms of removing duplicate linkages, and fixing a link to be a internal wikilink. Please be more careful when nominating as your actions significantly give the perception of biting a newbie. Hasteur (talk) 20:01, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, I sincerely didn't mean to be bitey... it just came off as spam for a non-notable golf club. I'll be more careful next time. We'll have the full story... at 11! 18:50, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Film at 11, for several weeks I have been trying to create this page. In my opinion it merely contains facts about the Filmfest Hamburg, which has been going for 20 years and screens 146 film to 40.000 visitors. I am not sure what precisely you mean by "This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia". I have now made some changes. Could you please have a quick check if the changes are what you expect, before I resubmit. If that is not the case, could you please give me one example which sentence contains more than just facts. Thank you, Tim Timothyweber (talk) 07:57, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think you're definitely writing about a notable subject (and you have the references to prove it), but my issue right now is with the article's tone. Phrases such as:
  • "Filmfest Hamburg is a festival for the audience." and
  • "Online submission is open until 28th June 2013."
make the article sound like a promotional piece for the festival rather than an encyclopedia article. We'll have the full story... at 11! 18:59, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Film at 11 for your comments. I would disagree in parts. The sentence "Filmfest Hamburg is a festival for the audience." in a nice way to inform insiders that is not an A or B festival. Anyway, I have deleted it as you suggested and made some other changes. My friend Christine initially copied some passages straight from the Filmfest Hamburg website. It was her first wiki entry and I don't think she will contribute to Wiki again. Timothyweber (talk) 11:17, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate submissions under different usernames may run afoul of WP:MEATPUPPETRY even if there are different people behind the usernames. We'll have the full story... at 11! 13:53, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Thank you for reviewing my sand box: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Wineeeki/sandbox I understand that citations are needed to further support the entry. Please see the following link taken from the biggest mainstream newspaper in Turkey mentioning FWC to be the first wine cellar specialist in Turkey. http://arama.hurriyet.com.tr/arsivnews.aspx?id=185419 Additionally Gastronomy magazine arguing the same: http://www.gastronomi.com.tr/yiyecek-icecek/sarap/focus-sarap-kavlari-sarabinizi-guvenle-sakliyor-h192.html These articles are in Turkish. So, I just wanted to ask first if they are relevant. If not, do you have any other suggestions/comments?Wineeeki (talk) 12:58, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Film at 11, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/A Foreign Affair, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. œ 04:29, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

comment from Filmiam

[edit]

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I have no idea what you're referring to. Everything in my submission on Richard France is factual; there is no opinion in it, save for those that are direct quotations from published sources, each of which is referenced with a footnote.

Filmian (talk) 02:30, 19 April 2013 (UTC)filmiam[reply]

That may be true, but the article needs to read like an article and not a research paper. We'll have the full story... at 11! 15:43, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dear Film at 11, how am I supposed to continue working on my submission that you rejected on 21 April 2013 when user Jimfbleak deletes my submission on the next day before I even have the chance to review your comments? I have no idea why my submission was rejected and I'm not given the opportunity to further work on my article to improve it and become a better Wikipedia contributor. Please advise. Thanks -- Zebrasil (talk) 15:26, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The submission was blatant advertising. Usually AFC submissions are exempt from speedy deletion, but submissions that are advertising are deleted whether they're in the article space or AFC. We'll have the full story... at 11! 18:57, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Film at 11, thanks for your comment. My article was written with original text and in the same style and language like all other streaming music service articles on Wikipedia and was referenced with links from reliable sources. Can you please explain why it is blatant advertising when for example Simfy which has only two references from it's own website and texts copied from other submissions isn't? Many thanks -- Zebrasil (talk) 13:18, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Declined page submission Yamaha XJ750E-II

[edit]

Just wondering what the reasons were behind your declining my submission? I understand you listed it under what Wikipedia is not, however on reading that page I saw this passage "Encyclopedia articles are about a person, or a group, a concept, a place, a thing, an event, etc.", I would have to argue that a motorcycle is a thing, and indeed there are articles on other motorcycles on Wikipedia. I would appreciate any guidance/suggestions as to what could be done to make the article suitable in your eyes? Thanks, XJ750E-IIbloke (talk) 21:28, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Article - Imam Mohamad Jebara

[edit]

Hello,

This message is in reference to the wikipedia article entitled "Imam Mohamad Jebara". Here is the link here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Imam_Mohamad_Jebara.

I have read your comments and I am more than happy to make the edits in order to re-submit the article. I thank you very much for your thorough review and comments. My only question is with regards to the referencing. I feel as though the referencing is sufficient. We referenced from the Ottawa Citizen and from the Canadian Jewish News, among many other sources.

I am more than happy to make all the other edits you had noted on the article, but would not the countless references and the Ottawa Citizen and CJ news be considered sufficient for the article?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marwa609 (talkcontribs) 19:42, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
