Feedback request[edit]

Hi Cmcaldar. I got your message. Is there anything I can help you with? Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 01:46, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Environmental issues in New York requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Oluwa2Chainz »» (talk to me) 20:51, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the deletion tag from the article because I thought the context was quite clear, but it seemed you have some work to do before it's a suitable article. For that reason, I've moved it to the WP:Draft namespace where you (and others) can work on it and then you can submit it for review. It's at Draft:Environmental issues in New York. I do advise you, though, that Wikipedia articles are neutral and can't be advocacy pieces nor original research, including reasoning of your own from premises and data to conclusions. See the article on writing your WP:first article for more guidance. Largoplazo (talk) 20:59, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Environmental issues in New York has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Essay: One person's opinion as to what environmental issues are in New York at this arbitrary point in time and how significant they are.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Writing for Wikipedia[edit]

Hi Cmcaldar. Thanks for your contribution to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, your work does not meet the basic requirements of a Wikipedia article. Please review the sections on article layout in the Editing Wikipedia brochure (pages 7-9) and the checklist on page 15. These are among the basic requirements. Please include properly-formatted inline citations. If you aren’t sure how to do this, please see this page.

Cleaning up substandard work consumes valuable time by Wikipedia's body of unpaid volunteers. Don't move your work to mainspace until you are sure it has reached an acceptable standard.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Environmental issues in New York, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:34, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Cmcaldar. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Environmental issues in New York".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 23:48, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
