Hi Cmd31644, block lengths are not limited to the list of predefined durations. Administrators can set any expiration time manually. You're probably looking for MediaWiki:Ipboptions; see also MediaWiki:Ipbreason-dropdown and mw:Manual:Block and unblock. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:00, 6 April 2022 (UTC)

The sandbox allows you to try the MediaWiki syntax before applying it to an article. It is ideally used by editors who actively edit, or intend to edit, articles using the technical knowledge gained from editing there. Like the entire technical infrastructure of Wikipedia, it is provided by a non-profit organization only for this reason. Wikipedia is not a free webhosting provider, and it is not a social network. The community can (and does) prevent editing by users who edit disruptively, such as users who cause an unusually high amount of maintenance and time investment to those who build and maintain the encyclopedia. Ideas for constructive contributions can be found at the Task Center and the community portal. Anything else than edits improving the encyclopedia will likely lead to an extension of the block (to indefinite duration, and to all namespaces).
