Candidate Articles[edit]

1) One page that I may edit for my project is about Education in the British Virgin Islands. This page is a stub with practically no information at all. I have found plenty of reputable sites that are either .org sites or .edu sites. On this page I would be able to add information about what is considered to be primary education versus second and tertiary education in the BVI. I can discuss facts regarding what schooling is mandatory, what is unique about schooling and education in the BVI. There is a lot to be said and a lot of facts that are simple to find and confirm. I am interested in working on this page because I find the difference of education systems in different places to be really amusing and I would be excited to learn more about it!

2) A second page that I would enjoy editing for my project is Study abroad. I want to study abroad my Junior year so it may be interesting to spend more time learning the facts around it. Because study abroad programs are basically all education experiences, the information online and documented is for the most part from very reliable university sources. Study abroad is a huge part of a college experience so I am surprised that there is not an indepth page already on wiki. There are tons of sources online regarding why students study abroad, types of study abroad (like: semester at sea, summer abroad, etc.). I have found reputable sources that discuss how study abroad effects students emotionally and increases maturity.

3) The third page that I would like to work on is Ismene (daughter of Asopus). I really like greek mythology so doing research would be interesting. I already know of many reputable sources on greek mythology and one of my best friends is greek and she knows a lot of myths about Ismene. I can contribute a lot to this page. There is really no information at all on it yet meaning I can really help improve it a lot!

UPDATE: I am no longer interested in using the Study abroad page for my project. I am most likely going to stick to Ismene because there is a lot to write about her and plenty of sources!

UPDATE: For my project I am going to work on the page regarding Ismene. I chose her page because here are lots of stories about Ismene and a lot of history about her to write about. Plus I think a lot of people would actually find a page about her to be useful for their studies!

UPDATE: Change of plans, I am actually going to work on the page Education in the British Virgin Islands.
