Template:Communism

Hi - thanks for your note. I'm pleased to see that you have started a discussion on the talk page of the template, and I've commented there. I'm broadly supportive of removing Luxemburg, although I'm not too concerned by her inclusion. I have no particular opinion on how to represent left communism on the template (it's not strictly true to say it covers council communism, although there is a large overlap). I do think that anarcho-communism should be included, as the template is about communism in its totality, not just the dominant Marxist variety. Warofdreams talk 17:37, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Maoism is a form of Marxism leninism.

Communism

I have reworked some of your edits. Please use the Talk page if you want to really find the best for of words. For example, in the best both the Eurocommunist and other Communist parties wanted to move to socialism before moving to communism. What made them different was their stance towards the foreign policy of the USSR. --Duncan 05:16, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

DO you honestly think such a comparison is even legitimate to undertake? First you have to assume that working conditions deteriorated after the collapse of communism, or that no one died on the job (assuming they are not slave labor of course) under the communist regime, before we can even make that comparison. Far more people died from starvation thanks to a feeble food market than would have died because they could not afford food in a more legit capitalist market. Finally, you need to understand that the Soviet Union did a poor job transitioning to capitalism, in part because they moved to slowly, the rest of the blame falls on the old line communists who worked as reactionaries to prevent change making a functioning market economy difficult to operate. Since this is the case, death by capitalism isnt appropriate, but I would settle for "death by corporatism" that would be more appropriate.

Vandalism of Shane Ruttle Martinez article

Hey, can you keep an eye on the SRM article? A user by the name of Cheap Laffs has been causing problems there as of late, and seems to be a fascist vying to twist things to his / her viewpoint. Thanks! Frank Pais 06:49, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Marc Lemire

Can you please keep an eye on the Marc Lemire article? Lemire (or someone very friendly to him - or perhaps outrightly ignorant) is using his own blog as a supposedly reliable source of information.
