November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Mathias Pogba, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:45, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

October 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Madoc. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 12:27, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alexf, I am the author of the article that is being linked. I did not mean to add inappropriate links, but I noticed that the link that was being cited was my article, yet the link was dead, which is why I updated the link. The reason the link was invalid was because the publication that I wrote for became defunct. The full article can still be found at https://medium.com/@cnelso333/prince-madoc-the-legend-of-how-the-welsh-colonized-north-america-14e8c99648ff Cnelso33 (talk) 18:07, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I replaced the medium url with a link to the archived version of the source that was used to write the article. An archive of a publication is fine for verifiability. A self-published page on medium.com is not reliable. Schazjmd (talk) 19:28, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi the article has been republished from it's original source. This is the link
https://historyofyesterday.com/prince-madoc-the-legend-of-how-the-welsh-colonized-north-america/
Is it appropriate to replace the link with this one? Cnelso33 (talk) 04:53, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
