Edit summaries

[edit]

Please avoid strong language in edit summaries, however strong your feelings. JFW | T@lk 14:10, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With regards to trivia sections, or anything else that is obviously in violation of content policies and guidelines: be BOLD when updating pages. If someone doesn't like it, they can always revert and talk to you about it. JFW | T@lk 22:01, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Foster's Lager

[edit]

Further to your change to the opening paragraph of Foster's Lager, I notice that the section Foster's Lager#Variants starts with: Scottish & Newcastle has also launched ... . Does this need changing too? Thanks, Pdfpdf (talk) 13:20, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tricky, S&N were the owners when it was launched, but the rights have changed hands. The citations need to be changed anyway because the S&N site will go down. Coachuponnow (talk) 21:42, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Irish Traveller

[edit]

I removed your inconsistency tag from:

It is estimated that 25,000 Travellers live in Ireland, between 200,000 and 300,000 in Great Britain

There is no inconsistency here: Ireland and Great Britain are mutually exclusive areas.

Re your edit summary -- take a look at the two, one of them is obviously not true -- not only is the obviousness not evident but it is much better to make any such comments, if you feel they are necessary, on a discussion page. -- Picapica (talk) 09:05, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
