Supreme Court talk

I had posted to answer your question on the Supreme Court of the United States talkpage -- but before I was able to post the response, the question was gone, so I guess you figured it out for yourself. Just in case you need it, my response was: "A retired Justice is a Justice who has retired from active service on the Court, and has met certain requirements for minimum age and length of service. The box lists retired Justices who are still alive, of which, at the moment, Justice O'Connor is the only one. If you have any further questions, please ask here or on my talk page." Saw your user page and was wondering....

If I wanted to be able to spend some time with apes or chimps, are there programs where I can go and do that? I love travel and I love animals and I love being able to do simple things that are nurturing (I am a teacher's aid for 1st and 2nd grade).... so reading about your work, I thought, WOW! There's an online resource called Primate Info Net, under jobs there's a list of available positions. Often they are volunteer and only require a modest background with animals, however often they are unpaid. This shouldn't discourage you too much though, since many volunteer positions involving conservation are both tax deductible and sometimes offer grants/scholarships to differ costs. Also, if you live in a big city, zoos and museums with live animal shows sometimes have primate research etc. going on and are often seeking volunteers. As a teacher's aid with young students, you might be able to link your work at the school with any work at a zoo/museum. Hope that helps! -Cody.Pope 15:45, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Are there standards for the range maps in the taxa-boxes for animals? I've started making a few and have been using the various versions of the classic gray on white svg maps as a base. I'm sorry, in what way have I vandalized? In reference to this edit: 14:29 15 February 2007 (hist) (diff) Gwenno Pipette (rv "doesn't wear glasses etc"), removing the comment "She has light blonde hair and does not wear glasses," is not vandalism but an improvement to the article, since this information is not encyclopedic. Please review the guidelines for vandalism before placing a comment on my talk page. Additionally, if you do not agree with an edit to a page, please discuss it on the article's talk page. Tone mapped images

I read your post on the FPC page. I wanted to show you this picture: Image:Victoria_harbor_yin-yan.jpg which has a realistic look, and this picture: Image:Victoria Inner Harbour HDR.png which has a surreal look to it. Both are HDRs with the original source files posted.

Re: IP Vandalism

Hi. Instead of doing it myself, I will direct you to the right places where you can be fairly instructed in what to do after reverting an obvious vandal. WP:VANDAL and WP:WARN are a good place to start. In a nutshell, you must warn the vandal (probably using a template, unless it is for some reason in your wanting to use a personal, customised message) in a manor of due course, systematically. After you have appropriately warned them, and then given them a final warning, if the vandal continues vandalising, you should report the vandal to WP:AIV, a highly admin-trafficked page, where an administrator will come along and block the vandal. Pan distribution map

Hi Cody!

I'm currently writing my Diploma Thesis in Freiburg in Germany. It is about cytogenetic studies in the Genus Pan, that's why I would really like to include your map of the distribution of the genus pan. It would really improve my introduction to the general theme. Our study here is not invasive to the animals in any way, we only get blood samples from various zoos in europe, samples of Bonobos and Common Chimpanzees. We investigate the location of different genes on the Y chromosomes of these great apes and have so far made some really stunning discoveries. But what we need is some information on how you came to drawing this map and what resources you used, basically where you got the information about the distribution. We would then also like to cite your name in the Thesis, and also maybe in a follow-up publication, if you don't mind. Your map is simply the best that we found throughout the literature.

Hi, I'm working on an educational videogame with which I'm trying to build a bridge between animal awareness and Pokemon fans among others. It started out as something small and I contacted you before but it's getting bigger and more professional and I wanted to make sure you were ok with it.
