There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. {{unblock|reason= We publish on the german Wikipedia since years bibliographical information and neutral knowledge about the work and life of mostly unknown photographers or photographers that deserve our attention but have been forgotten. Some of these photographers are dead some are still alive. Obviously we include in their biography the exhibitions and publications we have produced but we also include the work of other institutions, museums, galleries and art centers. We believe this works does contribute to the encyclopedia and we wish to pursue these contributions as they are essential for the diversity in the photographic discourse. Collection Regards exhibitions can be visited free of charge. We are not funded by any organization or state. To finance this cultural activity we sell editions and prints as most institutions, museums, publishers, galleries and art centers do. We have been doing these Wikipedia contributions since many years under the user name CollectionRegard on German Wikipedia. We were not aware that the username policies on German Wikipedia are different than on English Wikipedia. We naturally accept to change our name in order to adapt to the English Wikipedia username policies. We therefore kindly ask you to unblock the account and modify the name.[[User:CollectionRegard|CollectionRegard]] ([[User talk:CollectionRegard#top|talk]]) 14:48, 3 May 2019 (UTC)}}

Request reason:

We publish on the german Wikipedia since years bibliographical information and neutral knowledge about the work and life of mostly unknown photographers or photographers that deserve our attention but have been forgotten. Some of these photographers are dead some are still alive. Obviously we include in their biography the exhibitions and publications we have produced but we also include the work of other institutions, museums, galleries and art centers. Decline reason:

First of all, to avoid any possible misunderstanding, here are two things which are not relevant to the decision on your unblock request. Firstly, you may have been allowed to do editing on German Wikipedia which would not be accepted on English Wikipedia because policies are different, or because in fact you are in violation of German Wikipedia policies but nobody has noticed the fact and drawn it to administrators' attention, or for some other reason, but in any case any decision here is based entirely on what happens on English Wikipedia, and what happens on German Wikipedia is irrelevant. Secondly, how your business funds itself is irrelevant. From your own account you edit about "mostly unknown photographers or photographers" who you think "deserve our attention", evidently with the intention of using Wikipedia to get them attention. That is editing for the purpose of promoting their work, which is not permitted by Wikipedia policy; it also implies posting content about people who do not satisfy English Wikipedia's notability guidelines, as indeed has happened with your editing. Furthermore, you are doing this promotion exclusively in connection with artists whose work is marketed by your company. Since your unblock request makes it apparent that you do not understand these issues, and since nothing you have said suggests that you have any intention of doing any other kind of editing, unblocking you at present would not be beneficial to the project. Only if you agree not to edit on subjects connected, directly or indirectly, to your business will unblocking be appropriate. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:57, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Only one unblock request at a time, please. --Yamla (talk) 14:58, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
