How does it stand?[edit]

As an example (and the only individual world with its own article at this point in time), how does Armageddon (Warhammer 40,000) stand in comparison to this proposed guideline? -- Saberwyn 04:11, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am gravely concerned. It stands above and over the proposed guidelines. I'm saying the removed jargon and other insterts are outside the guidelines, but look necessary (thus, standing above and over).
  • Does Wikipedia have a timeline for Warhammer40k? If so, we could insert the dating system (how it works) and leave those less familiar with the universe in great darkness.
  • E.g. Some curious person might encounter:

Logan Grimnar had been elected to lead the defence, and against the Imperial defences, the forces of Chaos could find little sanctuary. Ill-prepared for the level of resistance offered, the Chaos hordes sent failed wave after failed wave at the Imperium over the course of three days of hard, near-constant combat. However, Angron, accompanied by a bodyguard of a dozen of Khorne's Bloodthirsters, was almost able to break the line at one point, and advance on Infernus and Helsreach Hives.

This had been planned for by Grimnar. As Angron's force broke through the line, an entire company of Terminator-equipped Grey Knights teleported into his path. The Grey Knights fought through to the centre of the Daemonic horde, and the sacrifice of Brother-Captain Aurellian ensured that the spirit of Angron was banished back into the Immaterium, allowing the Imperial counterattack to smash the leaderless forces.

-- From "The Imperium Strikes Back". Imagine if you didn't know what all these were. Sure, we know all about it and can list all the information on it, but there are some who do not know what most of that means. This is also jargon, and very detailed as well, down to a battlefield report. Colonel Marksman 14:46, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
