two quick questions[edit]

I have two questions; the first one is that I have noticed that a lot of other users have coloured rectangles on their user pages. The rectangles have writing on them. How do you get these? The second question is: on some other user's talk pages there are love-hearts at the top which are used to send the user a message of appreciation. How do I get this onto my talk page? Please reply on this talk page, just below this. Thanks. Constructiveking (talk) 03:00, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For your first question, those are Userboxes; there's quite a lot of them, listed at the bottom of that page, and it also provides instructions on how to make your own.
As for your second, you may be able to hunt it down by pulling up the edit screen for those users and looking at the code - if anything stands out, copy it to your talk page and poke around. I'm honestly not entirely sure what you're referring to, though, so I'll leave the helpme tag up in case someone else does. Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:15, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Constructiveking, I think I know what you're talking about, it's the red heart that is (at least in my configuration) the thing that lets you send WikiLove messages. Try going to your preferences here and checking if the last checkbox is checked, I think that might be what you need--you want it to be checked. (Oh, umm, and, you'll only see it if you're visiting someone's User Talk page, maybe their User page, but not most article pages.) Let me know if that works... --j⚛e deckertalk 06:08, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
