Conflict of interest: Pentagram (design firm)

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Copyright RGD. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Pentagram (design firm), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Noted. Any edits I've made have been factual.
Who is this writing please? Are you a bot? Copyright RGD (talk) 15:46, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How did you know I work at Pentagram, have you been stalking me on LinkedIn? Copyright RGD (talk) 15:48, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello!
I am not a bot, although the message that I used is an automated message. I did not know that you work at Pentagram, but your username indicates an association with the Association of Registered Graphic Designers, who are heavily involved with Pentagram. The issue with COI editing is that contributors may unintentionally bias articles in which factual information they choose to include or exclude as well as how they phrase their edits. If you wish to make a change to the Pentagram article (or other articles where you have a conflict of interest, such as Marina Willer and Colin Forbes) you can propose changes on the talk pages. Thanks!

FYI I have no association with the Association of Registered Graphic Designers which seems to be in Canada (I'm British, based in London and I'm not a graphic designer!).
I chose copyright registered for my business name as I liked the visual appearance of the copyright and registered symbols, and they happen to match my initials. Copyright RGD (talk) 10:06, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, is this where I suggest an update to the page? Copyright RGD (talk) 15:28, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
