Speedy deletion nomination of Hyts

[edit]

Hello Copyrightpower1337,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hyts for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Escalator of Life moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Escalator of Life, does not have enough reliable sources and citations as written to remain published. (Discogs is not considered a reliable source since it uses user-generated content.) The article needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks! — Newslinger talk 20:56, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Never Surrender (song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aquarius Records (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your edits

[edit]

Hallo, please note that if you add a stub tag to an article it must go right at the end, below any categories etc: see WP:ORDER.

Also, please do not remove red links unless you are certain that there will never be an article written with that title. Red links are not a problem,  just an indication that Wikipedia is not, and never will be, complete. Thanks. PamD 03:50, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

PROD nominations

[edit]

I've removed PROD nominations from two articles you proposed for deletion. PROD is only supposed to be used for uncontroversial deletions, and 18th century encyclopedias and capital cities are unlikely to be uncontroversial. Please use the process only with great caution. If you're not certain the deletion would be uncontroversial, use WP:AFD instead. pburka (talk) 23:40, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Platinum Blonde requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Notability of songs

[edit]

Based on your edit summary when creating the article for Who's That Girl (She's Got It), I just wanted to make sure it was clear that according to WP:NSONG, a song is not notable simply because it charted but because it "has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the artist and label." A song that charts is only a factor that may make a song notable. Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 18:36, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Two spaces after a period

[edit]

Two spaces after a period render exactly the same as one space (see MOS:DOUBLESPACE), and they make it slightly easier for some (many?) of us to scan the code when editing. So edits that remove them do not serve anyone. --JBL (talk) 22:36, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Plant Species Articles

[edit]

Hello @Copyrightpower1337:, I noticed that you tagged Solidago gigantea as not meeting Wikipedia's notability guidelines. I just wanted to stop by and give you a heads up that, except for in a very few special circumstances, articles on currently accepted species of plants always meet notability standards. This article in particular is accepted on numerous plant databases, atlases, scholarly articles, and the like, all of which further contribute to its notability. In general, it is a good practice to assume that all or almost all articles on taxons, plant or otherwise, will be notable. If you have any questions about plant articles, please feel free to stop by WikiProject Plants, we'd love to have you! Best wishes, Fritzmann2002 T, c, s, t 22:49, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Streek moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Streek, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Help with the List of One-Hit Wonders in the United States Wiki Page

[edit]

Hey, I have been having this issue with the visual editor the OHWs in the USA page. (Yes, I suck at the Source Editor) I wanted to ask if you knew a solution to my problem. When I click on the [edit] text next to where the decade is listed, the entire list is highlighted in a large blue square. You click on it, and it says, "Template Content" and a bunch of other jargon after "Generated from". When I wasn't getting this issue for a short time recently, I was able to just click on the [edit] text and simply add a bullet point at a certain part in the list. But i've been having this issue again recently.
