[edit]Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Although Wikipedia has a great many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
- What can I do now?
You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
below this message box. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 00:26, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

- FYI, I've solicited opinions from three users that are familiar with me. We'll see what they have to say. SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:15, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- You can't get this done by yourself? I'm confused now. Meow 04:02, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- I want to get multiple opinions before going ahead, and the opinion that I've gotten so far (from User:TenPoundHammer) kind of confirms my suspicion, that it's still not ready (thus if we move it, it will probably get deleted again). SchuminWeb (Talk) 12:19, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Schumin, Please take a look again. I update with some references. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Coral135/Blackbook2 Meow 23:16, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, none of these additions are reliable sources. The articlesbase article was somewhat intriguing, but then a little further research on my part led to the discovery that anyone can self-publish on there, thus removing it from consideration as a reliable source. As it stands, you still have no independent reliable sources to prove notability. I'm starting to get the feeling that there is nothing out there to find to prove notability, and if it went to the article namespace, it would get nominated for deletion and not survive the discussion. MfD nomination of User:Coral135/Blackbook2
[edit]User:Coral135/Blackbook2, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Coral135/Blackbook2 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Coral135/Blackbook2 during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 13:03, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- I have renominated the page for deletion at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Coral135/Blackbook2 (2nd nomination). Cunard (talk) 18:59, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
