Ndash

[edit]

I have not been warned. And show me this given standard. I read WP:DASH, nothing saying you have to use the actual &ndash instead of (–) insert key. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 16:37, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So can you tell me why in the insert section there is the exact same symbol? And for me, I have used 3 different browsers and the insert symbol appears normally on all three of them. Don't know which one you're using but for most people it works fine. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 17:03, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't type in a minus sign, I use the ndash insert symbol, bottom left of the Insert: section, right under the "Save page" button. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 17:16, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What standard? I can not see anywhere that forces the use of &ndash. Go to WP:DASH. It talks about ndash but if you view the source, you see that it is just the symbol, just like how I use it. Please, show me the 'Standard'. I'm not trying to be rude at all its just I don't see any problem. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 17:26, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
True, maybe you guys are all using the same browser....Which do you use? But regardless of which browser it may be, Wikipedia obviously doesn't acknowledge these faults. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 17:43, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I noticed from the list of participants at WP:FOOTY that you are a Manchester United fan. A task force has been set up to help improve articles related to Manchester United, and we are looking for participants to help with the effort. If you would be interested, please add your name to the list at the task force's page. Thanks. – PeeJay 10:32, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine mate. Any contribution is better than none. To be honest, I think most of the people who have signed up are regarding the taskforce as a way of reinforcing that they support the club, rather than a way of actually improving the articles, but we'll give it a go anyway! If you go to my Man Utd subpage, you'll see a list of articles related to the club, so if you could have a go at creating some of the redlink articles that would be awesome. – PeeJay 08:51, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The Man Utd Taskforce which you recently joined has selected Alex Ferguson article as the collaboration of the month.
