Welcome!

Hello, Cox44002, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, without the risk of speedy deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Refinnejann (talk) 08:15, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some more tips: WP:Your first article is a good introduction; see particularly the section Things to avoid. Notability is an important idea in Wikipedia, and is not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." If by any chance you are Matthew Ryan Cox, see WP:Autobiography for the reasons why, even if you are notable, you should not write about yourself. Your user page is available for some details about yourself, but even those should be mainly in connection with your role in contributing to Wikipedia - you shouldn't think of it as a home page such as you might have on Myspace or LinkedIn. See Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:35, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
