Notice

The article List of Graduates of the United States Military Academy Class of 1829 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The United States Military Academy has a class of graduates every year, no indication why we should be cataloguing them or 1829 in particular.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi, regarding your edit to Pierre de Rigaud, marquis de Vaudreuil-Cavagnial: Is the source any more specific? Is it saying that 14 of the enslaved people Vaudreuil held were African-born and two were of African descent born in the West Indies or somewhere else? Or were the other two enslaved Native Americans? Is there any context about when he owned them? (When Étienne Perier (governor) was governor of Louisiana, he received slaves as part of his annual salary; was it a similar situation here?) Thanks. — Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 16:09, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, no. That's all there is. Creuzbourg (talk) 16:21, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I found a copy of the book online and was able to make a few additional contextual edits. —Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 16:45, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
