Orphaned non-free image (File:ATMTIN UK 7inch Single Cover.jpg)

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:ATMTIN UK 7inch Single Cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Fair use rationale for File:Whitney singing at the Billboard Music Awards in 1993.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Whitney singing at the Billboard Music Awards in 1993.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Whitney Houston singing in The Preacher's Wife.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Whitney Houston singing in The Preacher's Wife.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 17:30, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Whitney Houston recording her debut album.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Whitney Houston recording her debut album.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Σxplicit 20:57, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:Whitney performing at MJ 30th Anniversary in 2001.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Feels So Right Tour, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://whfan.free.fr/other90tour.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 16:37, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Whitney Houston: The Concert for a New South Africa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Number-one albums of xxxx (U.S.)

Hi there, just a note to please watch your links. The recent additions you made to Number-one albums of 1993 (U.S.) contain source links that go to Billboard instead of Billboard (magazine). You may also want to tweak the formatting so that only the first word in the description is capitalized, per WP:CAPS (i.e. "The Billboard 200 chart listing for the week of July 31, 1993"). File source and copyright licensing problem with File:My Love Is Your Love Limited Edition.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:My Love Is Your Love Limited Edition.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 11:18, 25 July 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:18, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello! Can you help?

I see that you are working on many Whitney pages. I've updated the Just Whitney... page. It would be really nice if you could add any additional information to the page. Provide sources, expand anything is appreciated. Thank You Novice7 (Talk) 15:00, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Crowded! I really really appreciate your work! You're the BEST!!! Novice7 (Talk) 11:17, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
I corrected the lead section as we are not supposed to add links in the lead :(. I also fixed some simple grammar mistakes. Thank You for your help again. More is always welcome! Novice7 (Talk) 16:34, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Please do comment on the split of discography. Novice7 Talk 14:39, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
Please, Please, Please, comment on the talk page I gave. You can support or oppose after reading the whole thing. I think you're a Whitney fan, that's why I asked you to comment. Please comment. Novice7 Talk 11:46, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Ur right. But, you have the right to argue, because you spend most of you time editing Nippy (Whitney Houston articles). I am no good in English too. Don't bother about English or Wikipedia skills. There are people to help us you know. You can of course post your comment in the page I provided before. Wow! I never expected you to respond. Also, maybe we can start a Whitney Houston task force (if you don't know about this, just ask me :)). You can also move your barnstar to your User page so that you can have space in your talk. Remember, you're one of the, not one of the, you are the most active Whitney Houston editor here in Wikipedia. Also, you can update and start your User page (like ours). When all Whitney articles are ready, we can nominate them for a Good article or even a featured article. I was also like this (scared of bad skills) when I came, but now I know everybody makes mistakes. I'm so happy your responded. Thanks man! Waiting a reply, Novice7 Talk 16:37, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

How Will I Know

Hey Crowded.. Can you help me and get some information on Live performances of "How Will I Know". I know there are a lot of performances. Please. I really want it because I'm going to expand the article. Novice7 | Talk 16:15, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Hello, are you there? Novice7 | Talk 07:26, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Crowded??? Are you there?? Novice7 | Talk 06:38, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Crowded, I could really use your help. Please Please Please Please Please !!!!:( Novice7 | Talk 11:00, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Whitney Houston articles

Hi Crowded! It's been so long since you went active! Please.. I could really use your help on many Whitney articles :) SO, if you are online, please do respond.. Please!! Novice7 | Talk 14:14, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Re:I can help you

Oh! Thank God you're back! I even left a message at your Korean wiki page :P Anyway, I'm working on Queen of the Night, My Heart Is Calling, and Run to You singles. Do you know anything about their Live performances? If you do, you can add them Queen of the Night (here) and Run to You (here) and My Heart Is Calling (here). Thank you again :) Novice7 | Talk 07:56, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I see... Thank yo so much!!! Oh, I forgot, what about Why Does It Hurt So Bad? It was performed only on MTV Awards, right? Please check out Why Does It Hurt So Bad and How Will I Know too. Add any information you know please... Novice7 | Talk 10:47, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
It's okay if you don't find any "Hurt So Bad" performances. If the performances are just one or two, there is no need for a separate Live performances section. We can merge it with Music video. Novice7 | Talk 11:26, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks again. Do you have a source for the Poland broadcast? Novice7 | Talk 13:10, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
I got one. We might want to work on Whitney discography soon. Thank you for your help. Novice7 | Talk 07:01, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Question

Hi Crowded! Do you know the "exact release" date of How Will I Know, like which day ?? Also, was We Didn't Know a single in the first place. If it's not, you can redirect it to the parent album article. I finished My Heart Is Calling article. What do you think? Last, you can copy the barnstar to your user page and delete it from the talk page, so that your user page is not a red link. Thank you. Novice7 | Talk 09:55, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Please. The release date, My Heart Is Calling and User page. It's that you know more about Whitney than me, so please :) Novice7 | Talk 10:15, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Are you angry with me? Novice7 | Talk 10:34, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Please respond to this - I saw you're using a book. Did you buy it? If so, I have bought two books too (you might have seen them). Does the book have information on Whitney Houston album? I was wondering if you could help me out on the album (later, I'll tell you). Amazing job on I Wanna Dance :) Novice7 | Talk 15:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

(→) I've started working on the debut release on my sandbox (you can work on the release too, don't hesitate). I have the book The Unauthorized Biography of Whitney Houston by James Robert Parish and another book called Diva by Jeffrey Bowman. I want it to be a GA (we can nominate together after the work) and then a FA. Hope you will help me. And, about release dates, it's okay. We can add that too. Go ahead and add it. No problem at all! Novice7 | Talk 15:57, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

You can go ahead and start working. I really need information on the songs of the album (Whitney Houston [1985]), like what kind of songs are they like that. If your book has information on them, please start a Music and lyrics section on the sandbox, and go ahead. Sorry, I know I sound too demanding, but I really would like to work together on Whitney articles. It seems that you and I are the only ones editing her articles properly right now. So, please respond. I won't make fun of you in any way, even if you make mistakes. So, if that's the reason you hesitate, don't :) Novice7 | Talk 13:24, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh, sorry if I'm rushing you. We can work together. I have a book too. I'll add that information too. Also, one question. Was "Someone for Me", "Thinking About You" were singles? I know "All at Once" didn't get coverage in US but overseas. We need this information to complete the album. Novice7 | Talk 13:24, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank YOU!!!! I hope you don't mind me asking for further help on the article ;) Novice7 | Talk 15:47, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi! You have edited some Whitney stuff on Korean Wikipedia, right? Why can't you translate "How Will I Know" and "WDIHSB" to Korean, and add it to ko.wikipedia.org? Just asking :) Novice7 | Talk 13:01, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Haha.. This is so funny. You're great Crowded! Also, don't ever hesitate to leave me a message, if you ever need help. I won't hurt you at all. I know I talk too much. Sorry. Novice7 | Talk 12:10, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Amazing work. What do you think about the Composition section? Is it okay? And, the song sample too. What can I do to make it better? Reply please. Novice7 | Talk 14:00, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Please do tell me when you want me to start the composition section of I Wanna Dance. Novice7 | Talk 16:24, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Edit summary

Hi Crowded! I really appreciate you for your hard work, but use edit summaries while changing something on a page. This helps others understand that you're not vandalizing the article. Thank you. — Novice7 (talk) 07:46, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Lol, you don't have to be so specific. Just, something like "add info" or "fixing" or even "+live", "+charts" is enough. Good job using edit summaries. Also, you can develop an article on your sandbox (click User:Crowded/Sandbox for creating one), and then move it to the article. Good luck. — Novice7 (talk) 09:03, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi Crowded! Please don't add Album/Single Covers, Categories, other Wiki links, {{for}} and Disambiguation templates, templates, screenshots, and music samples to your sandbox. I removed them first. Please don't add them back. Thank you. Novice7 (talk) 03:16, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Just Whitney...

Hi! Please participate on the move discussion here. Novice7 (talk) 04:51, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Hey Crowded, please respond to this. A Very Important Question: I see you are working on "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)". I was thinking we can together nominate it for a Good article. That would be your first Nomination, right? Hoping for a positive answer. Novice7 (talk) 06:25, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

I come from India, and I don't speak English well too. You don't have to be scared. And, I don't think you are Bad in English at all! You write well, I mean, perfectly. You can post anything on my talk, I will never make fun of it, because I know I'm not good in English too. And, considering Good article, don't worry. It's simple. I'll just put your name on it, and we have to fix some errors that the reviewer points out. Again, please don't hesitate to reply, because I won't make fun of you. I promise. Novice7 (talk) 12:36, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi Crowded! If possible, can you do You Give Good Love after I Have Nothing? Please reply on my talk page. Novice7 (talk) 17:20, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Of course, I'll help. Tell me through my talk page when you are ready :) Novice7 (talk) 04:29, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Exhale

What is your opinion of "Shoop Shoop" article now? Do reply. As I said, I won't make fun :-) Novice7 (talk) 14:06, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Would this help on "YGGL"? I'll add the information from the books I have too. Novice7 (talk) 16:47, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Okay, so I've nominated "Exhale" for a Good article position. I have added your name along with mine too. So, if I'm not online, can you fix the errors the reviewer points out? Please reply. Novice7 (talk) 06:39, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Wow. Thank you sooo much :) Next, we can do ATMTIN. Before that, I need to expand the Composition section for that. Novice7 (talk) 15:08, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Archive

Please don't be angry. I created an archive for your previous messages, and put them in a separate page. Please don't be angry. Please reply too!! Novice7 (talk) 08:56, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Oh, thank God you're not angry :-) Of course, I'll add information. I'll expand it bit by bit. And, you speak English much much better than me :-D Where did you get the AMA photo from? It's amazing!! Novice7 (talk) 12:04, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind me asking a question to you. If you know, can you tell me if Waiting to Exhale Music Videos VHS contains "Exhale (Shoop Shoop) – Making the Video"? Novice7 (talk) 15:34, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Thank you sir! (assuming you're older than me :-D) That's all we need. Lol, yes, it's the youtube video. Do you know the exact date? That would make it easier to add as a reference. I took some quotes from the video, of Whitney and Forest. I hope we can add that to the article. Sorry for disturbing you. Thank you again sir. Novice7 (talk) 17:13, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi, can you help me? Did the program air in Korea or Japan? Novice7 (talk) 03:38, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks again :) I'll add some quotes about the video to the article. We can use {{cite episode}} template. And, I'm so happy to have someone who knows a lot about Whitney, here in Wikipedia ;-) Novice7 (talk) 04:02, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi! If you don't mind, can I know why you removed the information about Exhale video being a trailer, from article? Is the information bad? Novice7 (talk) 13:21, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Thank you soo much. Thank you so much for appreciating me throughout. Oh, sir, you forgot Whitney's performance on Arista's 25th Anniversary. I'll add that too. About the screenshot, I think WP:NFCC might jump in. It states "non-free media should only be included if it can improve reader's knowledge of the article." That's why I removed the Classic Whitney screenshot. We can add the free images as much as we want. And, please do tell me (or even scold me :-D) if I make any mistakes. Novice7 (talk) 13:42, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

I have finished my work on the article. You can now edit it :-) Novice7 (talk) 13:57, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi! The GA review is up. Can you fix a few errors? I fixed a few, and it'd be nice if you could do others too :) Novice7 (talk) 05:51, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for helping me out. Add the below box to your user page. Novice7 (talk) 11:51, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
