Welcome![edit]

Hello, Crownofstorms, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that all of your edits appear to be promoting links to a podcast series, with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the podcast. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Is someone besides me able to add our podcast to relevant topic pages? I see all kinds of pages have various things in the "in popular culture" type sections, including books/tv episodes/podcasts/etc. I didn't think the wording I used was anything but factual, so unsure why they are being removed if they are on the relevant topics and aren't promotional in nature. Hi Crownofstorms. The first thing you might do is read WP:BESTCOI and follow the advice there, especially the part about disclosing your COI here on your Talk page. The second thing is to familiarize yourself with the editorial policies we are required to adhere to when editing Wikipedia. In this instance, a good start is MOS:POPCULT and perhaps WP:EL. If you have created this account solely for the purpose of inserting links to one particular podcast series (that you may be associated with) into articles, that is contra to WP:NOTPROMOTION. If you wish to stick around and work on improving encyclopedia articles that have no connection to your podcasts, that would be great. If not, the best advice I could give you is not to edit those articles, but instead to open a discussion on their Talk pages asking editors to consider your podcast link as an External Link, and the reasons why. Best regards, - LuckyLouie (talk) 21:52, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
