Problems with upload of Image:Missearth2007.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Missearth2007.JPG. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Copyright problems
[edit]Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:Nora.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, Image:Nora.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:Nora.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:Nora.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Nora.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:Nora.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. bluemask (talk) 13:12, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:L-architecture.jpg) and (Image:L-business-admin.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:L-architecture.jpg and Image:L-business-admin.jpg]. The image description pages currently specify that the images are non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the images are currently orphaned, meaning that they are not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the images were previously in an article, please go to the article and see why they were removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:04, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. With respect to the above, we do appreciate the contribution, but there are limitations to how we can use logos. Please see the logo guidelines. Specifically, note that "It is generally acceptable to use a logo in an article about what the logo represents (such as a company or organization), or in an article discussing the logo itself, the visual style of the creator of the logo, or of its history and evolution. Within the article, the real logo should generally be used near the introductory paragraph, adjacent to text which is simply descriptive and which presents a clearly neutral point of view." In the case of these articles, their use in a list of colleges does not require the logo and hence exceeds fair use allowance. Without good reason to use the copyrighted designs, our inclusion of them in the article becomes legally problematic. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Gloriaarroyo.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gloriaarroyo.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? bluemask (talk) 03:01, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:NoraAunor_Dolphy6.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:NoraAunor_Dolphy6.JPG. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add

, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? bluemask (talk) 08:27, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Gloriaarroyo.JPG
[edit]A tag has been placed on Image:Gloriaarroyo.JPG, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. bluemask (talk) 10:34, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Image tagging for File:Luisiana Plaza.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Luisiana Plaza.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit]An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, File:A road to luisiana.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Linnea Aaltonen which you contributed to, is currently up for deletion
[edit]You are welcome to comment in this deletion discussion. Ikip (talk) 01:10, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
The file File:Expo98.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Orphaned image, no context to determine possible future encyclopedic use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --TheImaCow (talk) 07:05, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
