License tagging for Image:StanfordHarmonics.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:StanfordHarmonics.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Stanford Harmonics was deleted by me after I closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stanford Harmonics, which contained a clear consensus to delete. The consensus agreed that the claims in the article did not meet the inclusion criteria of the notability guideline, WP:MUSIC. I can restore the article into your userspace, at User:Cryptopath/Stanford Harmonics. There you can work on it to bring it up to Wikipedia standards. Familiarize yourself with the notability guideline as well as Wikipedia's policies on verifiability and neutral POV. You should also peruse Wikipedia:Conflict of interest—as someone who is charged with promoting the group, you should be aware of the stances that your fellow editors may take on your perceived conflict-of-interest & some of its consequences. (Remember, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising...)

You might consider contacting Jairuscobb (talk · contribs), the only voice arguing to keep the article. As a a more seasoned Wikipedia editor (plus a Stanford student & major contributor to Stanford Mendicants), Jairuscobb may be willing and able to help you along.

If and when you bring the article up to par, it can be moved back into the Wikipedia main space. If the content has not significantly changed, however, it may be speedily deleted as reposted, previously-deleted material. Be sure that the content is improved and addresses all of the concerns from the deletion discussion, lest it be deleted again. — Scientizzle 18:43, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
