Thanks, it would be great to have some good free licence photos for the said article. The Calgary Downtown Association pictures have a apparently usable licence (fully copyrighted, but permission given), however, free licence is always preffered on wikipedia (especially GNU copyleft), even at the expense of quality (then pictures can be used across different wikis, right to use cannot be challenged, etc). As always, your contributions are highly appreciated. --Qyd 18:04, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

George Fox

[edit]

Seems odd that you'd research his webpage but don't even want to start a stub for him. If you don't do it no one will. My problem with redlinks on the list is that it could end up having every pub or cover band. But, shoot yourself. Kevlar67 02:56, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great photos, Chuck. Are you any relation to the Chuck Szmurlo of Enbridge? --scruss 21:56, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

   The very same!Cszmurlo 16:23, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed the photo you contributed to the Hart House (Alberta) article I created. Awesome shot, Chuck! Really improves the page. Cale 19:54, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

California Condor Picture

[edit]

Thanks for not only taking such a good shot of a condor (though I'm assuming it was captive), but for uploading a higher res version when you saw that it was the lead photo. Rufous-crowned Sparrow 00:34, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have fallen in love with your absolutely fantastic images! If you wish to add more to the Portal:Alberta to show this province online via images that would be terrific. Thank you for all the wonderful uploads thus far. SriMesh | talk 20:51, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
