Hello. It has long been established that Gibraltar needs to ratify European treaties for them to take effect in its jurisdiction. Therefore, why did you remove it from the table in this article? What is the previous reference you're talking about in your edit summary? Heracletus (talk) 13:50, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reading further on it, I understand you're probably right. Heracletus (talk) 14:09, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for checking - Gibraltar Parliament is not involved in the ratification of the EU-Croatia agreement (UK is responsible for ratification), but it will be responsible for its implementation (if any local measures are needed). CultureArchitect (talk)
Yes, you are absolutely right. Heracletus (talk) 14:28, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But that was clearly written in the accompanying note. So why haven't you removed Aland Islands as well? And the European Parliament vote is then debatable as well. You should either propose removing all those votes or, for instance, making a new section "Other votes", where you would move all those votes. I believe the best way would be found on the talk-page. So I will revert the edit until a consistent method for all those votes is found. Tomi566 (talk) 14:41, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There is a difference in substance between involvement in ratification (Aland) and implementation (Gibraltar). Gibraltar Parliament is involved exclusively in treaty implementation i.e. after the treaty has come into effect, Gibraltar must implement it via a Bill of Parliament if changes to local law are required. On the other hand, the references given show Aland must ratify EU treaties in order for the treaty to have effect on the territory of the islands. This being the case, Gibraltar's Parliament is not involved in ratification and should not be included on the ratification page. CultureArchitect (talk) 05:52, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
