Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, CyberneticQueen, and welcome to Women in Red. It's good to see you have already created four biographies of women and now intend to write many more. If you have not already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Primer. I've added the Women in Red box to your use page so that others can see your interest in the project. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 07:32, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Kathleen Gardiner (motorist).jpeg

[edit]

Hi CyberneticQueen. What makes you think that File:Kathleen Gardiner (motorist).jpeg has been released under a {{cc-by-4.0}} license? Did you see the image explicitly licensed as such somewhere on the Trove website. For reference, being freely available online doesn't necessary mean free from copyright protection as explained in c:COM:CB#Internet images; moreover, only the copyright holders of content can release their work under a Creative Commons license like the one you've chosen. So, unless you're claiming to be the copyright holder of this photo or its copyright holder has released it as such, the "cc-by-4.0" you chose is likely incorrect. Just for reference, Trove itself explains on its Copyright information page that it's the responsibility of re-users of the content it hosts to verify the copyright status of the content they want re-use. So, if you're just guessing in this case, this file might need to be deleted from Wikipedia unless an acceptable free license for it can be verified. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:42, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
