Welcome templates

Hi Cyberoid! There are several templates you can use to welcome people - they can all be found here. I use a slightly customised message of my own, which can be seen here. Hope that helps :) Have a great day, – Riana 08:15, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Not at all! There's a few usage instructions at the bottom, and make sure you change the name in the first line ;) Cheers, – Riana 08:34, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Userpage theme

Can I abuse you and then give you the theme? ;) Sure thing. It's all on User:Riana/Talk header - at least, my talkpage theme is. I haven't got a userpage now, but my previous one is on User:Riana/Userpage, which is a very modified version of my older theme. I'm trying to design a new userpage, but haven't had time yet :) – Riana 07:57, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Welcome!

Well look who I found on WP! Remember your friendly neighbourhood Xcentaur?

WELCOME!

Not exactly the newest thing around for offline messaging, but it gets the job done. I've got CET coming up, yeah... whats going on with you? xC | 07:04, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Well I'm mostly towards maintainence since I don't have time for full-fledged article writing, you know how it is... I've looked through your reversion, be careful about that my friend, in trying to revert you end up removing a lot of content as well :P
Sure, I can teach you how to gip someone's userpage. I'm a web designer, after all. xC | 07:14, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
LOL, well reverting to a blank page is never a good thing to do :P I'm going for lunch now, drop any questions you have on my talk page, I'll reply when I get back xC | 07:36, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Well its just simple HTML, to be honest, here's my sig - xC | 08:56, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Its controlled by the CSS 'style' spec, drop me a line if you nede any help with the colors and/or spacing. cheers

Brother, click on edit this page at the top on your talk page, you'll find the code there. But if you couldn't find it, here -

Quick note about your monobook

Thought I should draw your attention to this edit at User:Cyberoidx/monobook.js. Looks like your speedy deletion script was accidentally transcluding {{db}} about halfway through the code. I've wrapped your monobook in "nowiki" tags, which should allow it to function normally without funny behavior like that. If this poses any problems, feel free to revert or find a better solution as you like. Apologies for the intrusion. – Luna Santin (talk) 17:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging

Hey, well I read what you said and I agree but the reason I changed the license because the image would have been deleted in 48 hours if I haven't did that ..Wikipedia has a very strong policy for uploading images and images related to monuments are hard to tag but if you ever upload anything and you want others to use that pic for their own use i.e releasing it in the public domain..use {{pd-self}} as the license and remember to include a summary and you can if you want to upload it wikimedia commons..Cheers..----Cometstyles 12:02, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Btw, I changed my phone, lost all contact details - email me your number.
I'm jacked over man. Not touched physics since the tenth standard. Chemistry is strange, only maths is do-able. Physics is bad, man. xC | 04:33, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Got BITS left...you?xC | 04:35, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, its removed from your contribs although it will still be noted as a deleted edit. See, Kates tool - this - won't show you which edits got deleted. So if you're tagging files for deletion and come back and check your edit count a couple of hours later, you'll find your ec is actually lesser than what it should be.
On the other hand, this other counter - this - will give you number of deleted contribs, although it updates pretty slow.
All in all, take it this way, your tagging the files for deletion is sacrificing your edits for WP. Its even more selfless than RC patrol :P

Signpost and commitment thingy, dude what are you talking about? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xcentaur (talkcontribs) 04:44, 16 May 2007 (UTC).
Ah yes, at one point I used to sign up for this stuff. Now I just edit, my participation in the project itself is more loyal than just adding my name to the list.
What articles are you planning to work on?
Have a look at Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta if you have the time, I have never seen two articles with so much potential being ruined so royally in one go. xC | 04:47, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

I like idea ;) Anyway, I gotta run right now, will be back later... cheers!xC | 04:57, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Help Needed

{{helpme}} As pointed here : in [1] cant figure how to Internal link it :( i would like to know what size the image has to be reduced to? so i could work on it?

First, Internal link - [[Category:Non-free_image_size_reduction_request]]. Second, the administrators will get to the deletions when they have time. Images are already backlogged back as a month or so. Real96 03:55, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Err, i needed to know what size i should reduce the images to...? Is there some specification? CyberoidX 04:16, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
IMHO, I wouldn't worry about resizing those images. Since you are a new user, I would suggest you to edit articles and get to know the process of editing Wikipedia. Real96 04:20, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
actually i'm preety good at working with images, as i have experience in it, so i was working on the Images cleanup section as a whole.... and the way you told me to place the internal link doesn't work, it places the page in the category instead, i had already tried that :) you can check again. CyberoidX 05:02, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
So can anyone point out the image size the the images should be resized to? or can i turn them into thumbnails of a size that i see fit, and update the versions? CyberoidX 05:02, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

(reduce indent) You may want to ask this question on Wikipedia:Village Pump in order to gain a better response instead of asking help me questions. Real96 05:17, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Star!

Thanks a ton CyberoidX! I just saw the barnstar... I appreciate it :) I hope I get the opportunity to award one to you, looking forward to working with you on an article sometime :)

Cheers!xC | 12:07, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Commercial use of Image:Income-curve-$10k.png

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Income-curve-$10k.png, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Income-curve-$10k.png is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Income-curve-$10k.png itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 04:17, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Income curve

Hi. You actually cought quite the mistake in my original image! You're right, the image is cut-off as it should include the percentage of households with income exceeding $200,000: that percentage is 2.67%. Thanks for improving my graph, I appreciate it. Regards, Signaturebrendel 06:08, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Sure that would be great, if you don't mind the work! Many of my graphs have been posted with a template requesting they be converted into SVG format. I you wouldn't mind formatting them and sending them to me via e-mail that would be great. Thanks. Signaturebrendel 19:45, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Thank you.

Thank you! Andy Mabbett 15:17, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello Cyberoidx, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Winvista.png) was found at the following location: User:Cyberoidx. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:33, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello. I've replaced Image:Winvista.png with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg on User:Cyberoidx/Header per Wikipedia non-free content policy item 9: restrictions on location. WODUP 05:33, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Userpage

I've never kept much content on my userpage; I can never find the interest to add templates that I'll never use or write a biography that overstates my importance :) Ral315 » 05:07, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Really, it's not so much selflessness as just a general opinion that people put too much stock in who a person is, and what they've done in their life. I'd much prefer to judge others, and have others judge me, by my contributions, both good and bad. When I had a short biography on my userpage, I think people treated me differently because of my age and my background, and I never really liked that. Ral315 » 05:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

Your nomination of Marco Mortara is highly objectionable; a converted old encyclopedia article should not be speedied under A7 at all. Charles Matthews 20:02, 26 May 2007 (UTC) I've looked at this one-just a little careless--& I've made at least one careless mistake already this weekend myself. 23:14, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

This edit added a welcome message to the userpage of an editor. Its supposed to be the talk page. Just a note to be more careful ;)
