Copyright problem icon One of your recent edits has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Information icon Hello, I'm HurricaneEdgar. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. July 2021[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Sino-Indian War. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 22:00, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ARBIPA sanctions alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Kautilya3 (talk) 22:01, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the notice. Cyclocane (talk) 09:07, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

September 2021[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Indo-Pakistani War of 1947–1948, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 21:40, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. HurricaneEdgar 09:09, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cyclone Asani death?[edit]

Hi there! I saw you added info about a death caused by the recent Indian cyclone, seen here in this edit. Would you mind adding a source to that bit of information? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 05:46, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

https://www.deccanchronicle.com/amp/nation/current-affairs/110522/asanis-remnant-crosses-ap-72-flights-suspended-one-death.html This is the source. Please add it. Cyclocane (talk) 13:00, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a night. Teach a man to fish, and he'll never go hungry. If you want to add the source, add <ref> and </ref> before and after the url. You can do more, such as adding the author, publisher, when you accessed it, and the date. It would look like this - <ref>{{cite news|title=Cyclone Asani's remnant hovers over Machilipatnam coast|author=V. Kamalakara Rao|publisher=Deccan Chronicle|date=May 11, 2022|accessdate=May 12, 2022|url=https://www.deccanchronicle.com/amp/nation/current-affairs/110522/asanis-remnant-crosses-ap-72-flights-suspended-one-death.html}}</ref> That has information that other users will find useful, particularly if the url ends up dying (which happens after a few years). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:30, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
