Career Threatening Match

Considering I was following the conscense of "the project", in which match types are listed before the match participants, I don't see the need to discuss anything. Nonetheless, to the talk page. Mshake3 (talk) 02:40, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

First off don't threaten me. Second off this isn't the first time this user has vandalised pages and it's freedom of speech. Regards.LifeStroke420 (talk) 03:40, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

RE: Suggest you...

Thank you for informing me, I'll start making the changes necessary. –Cheers, LAX 15:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Do you think SummerSlam (2007) is FA material? –Cheers, LAX 18:34, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I am planning on nominating it next Friday, if that's okay. Oh, I never really thought about that. –Cheers, LAX 18:42, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
It won't affect the FAC... will it? –Cheers, LAX 18:47, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah. Nice day for it too. Congrats to you for getting it to FA status. –Cheers, LAX 18:52, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Opinions on Unforgiven '04 being FA? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:19, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Again, I never thought about that. Yes, I would really appreciate it if you would do that for me. –Cheers, LAX 19:25, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I'll be waiting. Wait, did I go crazy with the refs too? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:28, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I'll do what I can. Hum, I never knew that (about Guerrero). –Cheers, LAX 19:49, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Awesome. I'll be waiting with the info. and stuff. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:54, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes, thank you for that. –Cheers, LAX 19:57, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks and I'll add that to the article. ;) If more stuff comes to mind, please tell me. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:02, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Again, I'll do what I can. I may have to postpone the nomination. –Cheers, LAX 20:32, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Can you please find another source (other than SLAM! Sports) saying that it was a good event? I am having trouble fining another. Thanks, –LAX 12:14, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Also, does associatedcontent.com look like a reliable source? I am asking because I have found an article about Jackass involvement, but the site appears to be blacklisted. –LAX 14:58, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Should I also note that fans and critics were unpleased/disappointed/upset with the Batista versus Khali match? –LAX 15:32, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Alright, just wanted to know. That LOP site made my computer crash and I had to restart. Plus, I think that we [WP:PW] deemed that site unreliable. Anyway, thanks for the other site and I really appreciate all your help. –LAX 16:01, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

It's fine. That happened to me with another website, so I won't take the risk. –LAX 16:08, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh, never mind then. I would appreciate it, that way I can still use it as a source and not have my computer crash. –LAX 16:13, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Wait, is the WrestlingRevealed.com source to back up that the PPV was good, or that the Khali versus Batista match was disappointing? –LAX 16:31, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that would probably be better. Well, then I still need another source saying that the PPV was good. If you can, please find one for me (not to sound like a dick). –LAX 16:51, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes you did, and thank you. Broken link? –LAX 17:12, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Is this a reliable source? [1]LAX 17:18, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Never mind. I was thinking of a different source (which you already said was unreliable). Sorry! –LAX 17:23, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Is this good, or should I add more? –LAX 17:36, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

World Wrestling Entertainment had originally planned an angle between the cast of the Jackass TV series and Umaga, with the feud concluding in a match at SummerSlam. The storylines were scheduled to start at the previous pay-per-view, The Great American Bash, but were canceled when the Jackass cast dropped out due to the Chris Benoit double murder and suicide receiving high media attention.

Never mind, check the article. –LAX 18:24, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I may, however, need your help in mentioning that wrestlers were taking off TV due to suspension. –LAX 18:55, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
I thought it was once per section... guess not. Anyway, since the first sentence is like an introduction to the paragraph, I think the second time their name is mentioned, it should be full. Get what I'm saying? –LAX 19:05, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
I agree. Yes, please do. –LAX 19:44, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Re:1995 Japanese Grand Prix

Yes, I do have the 1995 AUTOCOURSE, but I'm currently on holiday so it's not to hand at the moment! I'll take a look when I get back home in approximately a week and a half.-- Diniz (talk) 23:51, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

There aren't any quotations given from other figures about Alesi's performance, but there is quite a bit of information:
Jean's arrival in the pits [to change to slicks] was a typically emotional affair, the Frenchman jinking right across the bows of Herbert's Benetton to enter the pit lane a split-second after after overtaking the Englishman coming through the immediately preceding flat-out left-hander [130R]. One could only speculate as to precisely what Alesi had been thinking about... (p.219)
Ferrari's decision to bring in Alesi for slicks[...]had been a tactical master-stroke. (p.219)
Alesi came storming up onto Hill's tail as they braked for the pits chicane [on lap 10]. Without a second's hesistation, Jean slammed down the outside and cut across Damon's bows going into the tight right-hander. Hill gave him racing room in a disciplined manner. (p.219)
On lap 25 the gallant Alesi retired from second place out on the circuit with apparent differential failure. On closer examination it was discovered that a driveshaft joint had failed inside the gearbox, possibly as a result of Jean's wild spin across the run-off as he avoided Lamy's Minardi. It was a bitter pill for the Frenchman to swallow. Together with Schumacher, he had been the absolute star of the show. But not blessed with the Benetton's mechanical reliability, his Ferrari had now wilted yet again. (p.219)
"It would be presumptuous of me to say that I could have won," shrugged Alesi, "but I would certainly have fought for it, all the way to the end. I tried again to win today and I was in a bad mood, because I was convinced I did not jump the start. The grid slopes downhill and, although the car crept forwards by a few centimetres, it was certainly not intentional." (p.219)
It had been another sparkling demonstration of Michael Schumacher's genius, although Alesi's performance certainly gave Benetton a boost when they looked ahead to 1996. (p.221)
I hope this helps!-- Diniz (talk) 10:26, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
No problem - I'll take a look as soon as I finish the new article I'm working on at the moment.-- Diniz (talk) 18:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
OK, here are some points that occur to me:
      • Hill was strongly criticised by the British media after his poor Pacific GP, and it was suggested that he was going to be dumped in favour of Frentzen or Berger for 1996, but Frank Williams gave him an unequivocal vote of confidence (p.218) in the week before the Japanese GP.
      • It might be worth clarifying that Wendlinger drove in the first few races of 1995, and that the Japanese GP wasn't his first comeback since his 1994 accident.
      • Qualifying incidents: Herbert crashed heavily on Friday (p.217), Blundell missed the Saturday qualifying session on medical advice (p.217) (it might be worth pointing out that his second crash was much more severe than his first, and at 130R - the same corner where Coulthard crashed in the race, which is already mentioned).
      • Suzuki's injuries are given as a cracked vertebra and internal lung bleeding, not a broken rib (p.217). It's probable that he sustained both sets of injuries, but the reporting is slightly different.
      • Perhaps it's worth emphasising the disappointment of Williams' qualifying, given that the team was usually the dominant force in 1995 qualifying sessions? Damon Hill: "Nobody is more disappointed than myself and the team. We have to investigate why we were not competitive. I was surprised by the performance of the McLaren and even more impressed by Michael's performance at the end of the session." (pp.217-218)
      • Berger also jumped the start, as well as Alesi. Both drivers blamed the downward slope of the starting grid (incident p.218, blame p.219).
      • First corner accident: Morbidelli was hit by Wendlinger and retired, having stalled the engine (p.218).
      • The Jordan drivers did collide, but very lightly: Barrichello's rear wing was slightly deranged by the conflict before he came to rest against the wall. Barrichello: "Thankfully he kept going, because I knew it would be very big trouble for me if he didn't!" (p.219)
      • Frentzen ran into the back of Irvine at the chicane (i.e. same place as Barrichello) on lap 20, losing his front wing (p.219).
      • Coulthard jumped ahead of Häkkinen at the pit stops (Häkkinen's on lap 28, Coulthard's on lap 34) (p.221).
      • Hill blamed oil on the track for his second spin at Spoon Curve. It was also an exact duplication of his mistake during Saturday practice (p.221).
      • Williams was fined $10,000 for Hill's pitlane speeding, as he retired before taking his penalty (p.221).
      • Blundell narrowly failed to catch Salo for the final point after starting right at the back (1.8s).
If you need precise page references for any of this information, feel free to ask (a blanket reference is pp.216-223). I also have a lap chart if you need to know precise positions and pit stop times.-- Diniz (talk) 11:37, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
P.S. Just a little bit more from the "Diary" box in the race report (p.217):
        • Bernie Ecclestone's 65th birthday; celebrates by missing the GP.
        • Jos Verstappen set to sign for Footwork.
        • Ligier boss Tom Walkinshaw denies signing Pedro Diniz for 1996 (a rumour is just a premature fact?).-- Diniz (talk) 11:43, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I've added the page references above.-- Diniz (talk) 21:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, it was Morbidelli who stalled and retired.-- Diniz (talk) 16:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
I may have worded that badly, sorry. Morbidelli stalled at the first corner as a result of spinning due to the collision with Wendlinger; he didn't stall on the grid.-- Diniz (talk) 16:57, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Template:Grand Prix race report infobox

Hi D.M.N. Thanks for pointing that out - I didn't see that effect when I was testing my changes. The problem is that Michael Schumacher's name is so long - you don't get the wrapping when the driver's name is shorter (e.g. 2008 Australian Grand Prix). I can't think of a better/neater way to include the "on lap" information; noting that you can't put it on the same line as the fastest lap time, because for races where multiple drivers set the same fastest lap time (e.g. 1961 Monaco Grand Prix), they most likely did it on different laps. Any ideas? DH85868993 (talk) 14:36, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Just....

I meant could you write it in the article for me. I was asking this because I would probably have a difficult time with wording. But, I will try to write it myself. –LAX 20:58, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Can you please write that paragraph for me? I am having difficulties wording it. –LAX 19:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

The Monday Night War DVD

I believe you are listed as the owner of a copy of The Monday Night War DVD. I was wondering if you could upload a screenshot of the nWo formation at the Bash at the Beach (1996) event and add it to the article. (with FU rationale) I think a screenshot from a DVD is a better choice because of quality and sourcing. Thanks. --13 of Diamonds (talk) 23:30, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey DMN, I am pretty sure you are an admin, so is there any way you could tell our buddy Scorpion at the wiki project Pro wrestling to chill out a bit? I hate to be a dick, but can you please explain why some of our pro wrestling websites are reliable, here? I am having trouble explaining why and finding out how/why the sites are reliable. I would hate to have to remove them because then nearly every source would be from WWE.com, and there would be no source for the attendance or dark match that was held before the event. –LAX 02:01, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Done. –LAX 15:55, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

You're right, it was done in good faith as I did not see any changes in the change log for more than 24 hours. I don't see the harm in having it left off until you get back to work on the article. If you look at the other FACs up, you'll see that I've been investigating all the candidates sources, not just yours. While I'd love to have time to devote to every candidate and do a full review of the prose and other aspects, I just don't have the time. It has been a failing of FAs for a while that no one was investigating the sources and commenting on the reliablity or non-reliability of them for quite a while, and I've tried to step up and help with that. Others at FAC specialize in other areas, User:Tony1 does MOS issues and prose, User:Elcobbola does a lot of work on pictures and fair use. I put my comments under "comments" so that folks don't think that I've done a full review, and I won't support or oppose unless I have time to do a full review of everything in the article. I hope this helps explain things to you. I know you're anxious for supports, and they will come, things move a their own pace at FAC. There are some good suggestions here about dealing with the FAC process. Ealdgyth - Talk 16:17, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

lordsofpian.net

Since my computer crashes every time I attempt to go lordsofpain.net, can you please find out if the site is reliable based on the comments left here? I would appreciate if you would do this for me because if it cannot be proved reliable, the paragraph on the Jackass involvement would need another source that says just about everything LOP does. Article

I will try to comment tonight or tomorrow, but for now, i get to go look at really expensive horses and critique them to bits! Yay for horse shows. But there really is nothing wrong with a project supporting articles in their project area. Especially from some of the more obscure projects. As long as they disclose that they are a member of the project, I would expect a project to support. But really, get out and give those neutral non-knowledgeable reviews! That'll help a bunch, building a network of folks outside your subject area. (I'm just jealous because you have other folks working in your subject area. Medieval bishops and quarter horses seem to be edited by me, myself and I.) Ealdgyth - Talk 15:28, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Japanese Grand Prix

I've just actually left a comment on the PR. Everything looks great. I've added one note about the damp conditions, and once you re-word Blundell's qualifying, then it probably only needs images, as far as I'm concerned. Let me know when you put it to FAC - I noticed the talk page comments yesterday - and as long as there are images, I can't see any reasons why I wouldn't support. Nice work. Peanut4 (talk) 17:13, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm happy to abide by consensus - that's what WP's about after all! - but what's the reason for not putting on standings after each race? It seems a bit weird to me. Peanut4 (talk) 17:40, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
That's why I asked. If you're going to write a paragraph about the points situation, it would be in prose. Yet the information is perfect to be represented in a list format, and far easier for the reader to digest. I'll have a look at the main season article though before making any other judgement. Peanut4 (talk) 20:25, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Sources

I generally don't do a full in-depth check of sources the second time an article comes to FAC, unless it was substantially rewritten. I do check that there haven't been a lot of changes in the sources, just to make sure that things haven't changed that much. If there are still unresolved sourcing issues I'd bring them up again, of course. Ealdgyth - Talk 00:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

My FAC review of 1995 Japanese Grand Prix

Hey D.M.N., I'm sorry to be a bit late catching up with this situation but I wanted to send you a note since I "commented" but never supported. While each reviewer has his/her level of attentiveness, I don't generally leave comments unattended if they have been addressed. In this case, I never felt that my comment about jargon and the article's appropriateness for a general audience was satisfied. I would make the same comment at Peer Review - have someone who knows nothing about racing (better yet, who cares nothing for it) read the article and point out places where they get lost. The play-by-play is simply bewildering to a layperson.

Having said that, I owe you an apology for what I see now was poor communication on my part. I should have got back to you with a concrete statement to the effect of, "No, you didn't address all my concerns." I didn't do that and I'm sorry. I don't have a lot of time for about the next week, but please drop me a reminder next week and I will help go through the article and make sure it's ready for its next turn at FAC. --Laser brain (talk) 05:32, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

1995 Japanese GP review

Thank you for the barnstar. I'm glad to see that you're not mad about my "trillions" :)) of peer review comments. I was hoping that you weren't feeling that I'm a jerk. I guess being nitpicky is good in this context. To be honest, I wouldn't have passed the article through GA without all of these changes if I were reviewing it.

It's fine if you want to use the word "penultimate", but I won't use it in anything that I write. It's like "one off" - it's a word that doesn't get much (or any) use in the U.S. I agree with Laser that you should attempt to find a non-racing fan to review the article. Hopefully someone will be more apt to peer review it since it has been extensively changed after the high number of wording changes that I suggested. I'm watching the peer review, so I'll respond back to you when you get done or as a need arises. I plan to read it a second time with another thorough review. Next time I'll look over other things besides the wording. Royalbroil 00:08, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

GA reviews and roads

Typically sources aren't required for the route description of a roads article since any map could be used to verify the information. Yes, it is nice to have, but it has not been an absolute requirement since the Google Maps, Rand McNally Road Atlas or even a state map could be used. Imzadi1979 (talk) 17:53, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the quick response. I struck the four issues that you addressed. Once the commas get checked, let me know. Re:This

Whoa, I didn't mean it in a way that "your work on D2D was bad", I meant that SS07 looks like it has more content, like its bigger, which is what I meant, as I haven't read both articles word by word yet. And I don't have a problem with FAC policy, (where did you get that from?). Also, if you say all that about the article, please inform LAX of it, not me, as I stated I did not meant that your article is inferior to SummerSlam07. And I have asked the user who said that the sources were unreliable to check them, as I gave them a link to where they get their info from. Again, I am sorry if you took this the wrong way, I did not mean it in the way you took it.--~SRS~ 20:57, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Again, you took that comment the wrong way, as I was jokingly talking to LAX about it, I know that FAC is a long, strict process, and its the same for every project. And I also see your concern, which is a problem for most FAC's, but its how Wikipedia works sometimes.--~SRS~ 21:06, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Supporting FAC

I am now fully behind the article, after your comma fixes. The "leaning" part of my support is now struck. I also offered opinions on the two remaining criticisms, namely sourcing and pictures. Great job with the article, and good luck with the rest of this FAC. Giants2008 (talk) 18:12, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm doing good. I've been taking it easy a lot lately. Hornetman doesn't bother me anymore. There were some issues I don't feel comfortable revealing that were aggravating the situation before, which is why I didn't treat him as "just another crazy sockpuppeteer." Hi D.M.N. I'm not especially enthusiastic about updating those Pacific and McLaren links as you suggested on my talk page, because:

  • the redirects actually take readers to the correct article, and

Unresolved tag

I'm not sure there's a need to mark the ANI thread about SlimVirgin's image uploads as unresolved. Nobody actually disputes my analysis. One individual has proposed a novel line of reasoning that could support my analysis, but in over a day nobody's showed up to oppose it. The thread is likely to be archived soon and I have doubts whether that tag was appropriate. Respectfully, DurovaCharge! 01:49, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

ANI subpages

About moving those long threads to ANI subpages - I know the header instruction at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents does talk about moving long threads to subpages, but not everyone agrees with that practice. I think 50K is a rather arbitrary limit anyway, and it does mess things up when people try and search the archives. My view is that only the very longest threads need moving like that. It is particularly annoying when a thread gets moved when it feels like it is near the end and about to be resolved anyway (I was about to add an addendum to the Kelly block thread to make clear a big part has been resolved). Have a look here for a list of ANI subpages. Finding the "thread subpages" of AN is rather more difficult. See here for what I mean. Both those links should also give you an idea of what sort of threads normally get moved over. Someone could look into archiving those subpages in the proper places (see here and Template:Administrators' noticeboard navbox all), but maybe see how the bot (whichever one is doing the archiving at the moment) handles things. I think it is Miszabot. It is also interesting to see how sometimes creating these subpages has no effect at all on the volume of posting, and at other times it kills it dead! :-) Anyway, this should probably have been posted at Wikipedia talk:Administrators' noticeboard, but I thought I'd come here first to point out how I personally feel about ANI and AN subpages. Maybe it is time for another discussion about this? What do you think? Carcharoth (talk) 06:29, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

On approaching other editors

Since the AN/I thread is closed, I won't comment there, but I have a few thoughts on the way you've approached Tony about your FAC request.

In your second message to Tony, you took a very accusatory tone: [8] "Why do you ignore comments on your talkpage? You could at least respond....In my view, it's pure ignorance to ignore others comments.".

Look at the guy's talk page. It gets a lot of comments. He may not have even seen your initial comment, or he may have intended to respond but been sidetracked by something else. In other words, it may have been a perfectly innocent omissions on his part. When you followed up with an accusation of "ignorance", and also stated – twice – that he was deliberately ignoring you, I can see why he might have decided that you weren't worth responding to. The rudeness was simply uncalled-for, and since he is a busy editor, your behaviour probably bumped any further requests from you to the bottom of his in-box.

Meanwhile, you went on to file an AN/I report ([9]) only five minutes after you left a second ping on his talk page ([10]). Your comment that you weren't "going to bite [his] head off" didn't exactly ring true, given the previous message that you had left. Going straight to AN/I suggests that you didn't expect him to reply to your comment; that you were just 'going through the motions' rather than acting in good faith.

Finally, your comment to Tony here wasn't a polite request—it was a threat. Pay attention to me or I'll file another report on you!. Frankly, given your own conduct, if Tony ever chooses to help you it will be because he's a damn good guy; you owe him some serious apologies if you're expecting a response to your queries. You lecturing another editor on etiquette is way out of line. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 16:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I notice you nominated the above article for deletion, then withdrew the nomination on the assumption that the article would soon be filled with useful information. Nearly seven weeks on, no significant information has been added to the article so I wonder whether it should be nominated for deletion again, or whether the creator should be approached to find out whether they intend to do anything with it. The election results are available at the official site linked to, so I personally see little need for this article, which in any case is quite useless as it stands.--Shantavira|feed me 16:50, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

1995 Japanese Grand Prix

There are a couple of post-race quotations in the annual:

  • Schumacher
  • Hill

There are also post-qualifying quotations from Hill, Herbert and Coulthard, and post-race ones from Barrichello, Berger, Alesi, Coulthard and Norbert Haug. There are also some more general quotations from Frank Williams and Hill on the subject of Hill's position in the team. I hope this helps!--Diniz(talk) 17:05, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

If you want to focus a bit more on the fact that Hill's performance in the race encapsulated the reasons why he was let go by Williams for 1997, there is an interesting article on Hill in the July issue of Motor Sport magazine.
Citing the article would look like this:
Benson, Andrew (2008). "Damon Hill". Motor Sport. 84 (7): pp.70-77. {{cite journal}}: |pages= has extra text (help); Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)
And the relevant quotations are:

--Diniz(talk) 17:21, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

And also some relevant material from a biography of Damon Hill that I have (Tremayne, David (1996). Damon Hill World Champion: The Triumphant Story of a British Sporting Hero. Parragon. ISBN 0-7525-2013-X.):

--Diniz(talk) 17:34, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

The quotations from Williams in AUTOCOURSE are actually from the week before the GP, but they still may be of use to the article.

--Diniz(talk) 19:20, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

I believe that the Motor Sport article was pieced together from recent interviews with Hill, Frank Williams and Patrick Head, as the tagline for it includes the phrase "The men at the heart of this tale talk candidly for the first time about what when wrong".--Diniz(talk) 19:37, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Happy late-Birthday! I forgot to come on your birthday, so I came now, even though it's four days late, lol. Hope you had a good birthday! -- iMatthew T.C. 15:10, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

William Mueller

The only source I have with his full name is the Wrestling Guide 2008 issued with PowerSlam last month. His OWoW profile says Bill Mueller, but this at least is evidence that it is not Trevor Rhodes. Darrenhusted (talk) 11:57, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Reviewer

Oh, I hope this message is not part of the "delete" category. ;) Thanks man, I really appreciate the support on the barnstar. ;) I'll make sure to keep up the good job. Hey, I really really hope that D2D doesn't get delisted from FA. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 23:23, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Well, from the little notice you have on your talkpage. Um well, I'm trying to layoff wrestling-related articles and try to work on actors/actresses articles. What about yourself? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:06, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Wait, you had an Rfa? That's cool, with what your doing, with cleaning articles and stuff. What type of thing do you have in mind to work on? If you don't mind me asking. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:37, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Damn, why didn't you tell me you were going through one? Jeez. Anyways, I gave my opinion in the Rfa, whether you like it or not. ;) New stuff, huh? That's cool, at least you'll have something to focus on, I guess. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:28, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Dang, I don't know what to say. Maybe, there'll be a bright side to all of this and you'll look back and sorta see it as 'funny'. IDK, I got nothing. I'm such a crappy friend. ;) Hey, if you're interested in "wrestling material", do you want to help LAX and I expand the Great American Bash '06? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:39, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Awesome!!! I guess when you have time, help along and we'll appreciate a whole bunch. ;) I'm gonna pray and see if you become Admin. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:46, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Cherri-o. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:51, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Re;DRV AN/I

Sorry, that was all the acronyms I could put into the header. ;)
Thanks for letting me know about the discussion already in process. I've posted a reply. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 15:55, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Re:SummerSlam (2003)

Woops, that wasn't my intention, it was a glitch with my computer. Trust me, I know that it's not suppose to be in the header.--SRX 18:22, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, thanks. ;)--SRX 18:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

RfA

Make sure you get your previous RfAs links up ASAP. I'm not going to weigh in yet, but DMN, I have to say I think you should have waited on this RfA. You just recently had some issues over at ANI, and did the whole retire/return thing. Certainly need to put more time between such things and an RfA. Gwynand | TalkContribs 19:04, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

RFA Fix

You might want to take another look back at your second to last sentence in your statement. It looks like you are missing a word in there. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 00:19, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Your RFA

Best of luck for your RFA -- TinuCherian (Chat?) - 10:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Re:Rfa

I saw you response, and I've responded to your response. I hope you know I'm not trying to make you feel bad. I'm just explaining why I'm opposed to you becoming an admin at the moment. I would hate for you to feel bad because of this Rfa, and I hope you continue to edit after it. Overall you're an asset to wikipedia, and I would hate to see you leave because of this.--SJP Chat 10:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC) Cheers!

I've responded. Most of us hate being falsely accused of something, so I can understand why you're upset.--SJP Chat 10:39, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

great american bash 2008

Sorry about your RfA

Sorry I didn't get a chance to review you more throughly before you withdrew your RfA. I thought it was unfair to use incidents from 1.5 years ago against ya. That almost sends the wrong message to the community... if you mess up, it is better to go into hiding and come out with a new name than try to fix the wrong. Eg if you had simply created a new account DMN, and never admitted to your old one, people would probably never figured it out and you would probably be an admin. But you did the mature responsible thing and said, "I messed up, but I'm going to do right by the community" and you got it handed back to you... I don't like that message. Now, I honestly don't know if I could have supported, I haven't looked at your edits closely enough... but I didn't like many of the reasons you were opposed.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 17:04, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

  • I'd like to echo the sentiment above. I liked your answer to my question. I was planning on taking a good look at your recent activity and make a decision from there. But another idea might be to stay away from AN/I and shift your attitude about it (as I mentioned in my neutral). –xenocidic (talk) 17:53, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

RFA Fix

I forget what one it was, not being able to see it. I agree with Balloonman above though in the fact that you were unfairly persecuted because of your past. I look forward to seeing you again in the RFA in threee months. I actually was in your position the first time I did an RFA and this time people didn't talk about the same things as they did the time before so in three months you might be lucky. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 17:44, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Sometimes people will push that aside if you show that you are committed to help stop what you were once part of. Try doing vandalism patrolling and see what becomes of it because it might show people that you are mature and regret what you did. They should start changing their minds about you. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 17:55, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

DMN, I think if you keep your nose clean for another 8 months to a year, and keep up the high quality editing, you will pass a future RfA. There is lots of evidence of RfA candidates passing on 4th or 5th go arounds, the community actually loves to forgive and forget after enough time has lapsed the the candidate has shown true reform. It just wasn't enough time for the community yet. You seem to me like a bright, younger (Im assuming) guy, and I think that in due time you'll be an admin, and will be one for a long time.
