Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Squad STX, from its old location at User:D1safety/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Sam Sailor 05:51, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Squad STX, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Sam Sailor 05:54, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am a new user to Wikipedia simply trying to establish an accurate Wikipedia entry for my business in line with other Texas summer camps listed in Wikipedia. I apologize for anything unintentionally "spammy" on my entry. I was having difficulty making the entry. Every time I tried to add an extra line of information or upload a photo, the editor would delete portions of the text I had entered. Anyway, if you have any tips on how to do this (or how to use a summer camp template?) I would be much appreciative. Can I be unblocked and allowed to attempt to make another entry? I will try using a different browser, etc. Thank you for your time! Dustin D1safety (talk) 19:22, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You seem to have a common misunderstanding as to what Wikipedia is. Wikipedia is not a forum to merely tell about a business; that is considered promotional here. This is an encyclopedia, where article subjects must be shown with independent reliable sources with indepth coverage to meet Wikipedia's special definition of notability; for businesses, that is defined at WP:ORG. Wikipedia has no interest in what an article subject wants to say about itself; only in what independent sources state about it. Further, you have a conflict of interest in editing about your own business; please read the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy which will explain why it is problematic for you to edit about your own business. If you want to edit about other subjects, subjects for which you have no conflict of interest, please agree to not edit about your business and tell what you will edit about instead. If you are only here to tell about your business, you will not be unblocked and should consider alternative forums. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 19:49, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I would add that other summer camps meriting articles does not automatically mean that yours merits one too; please read other stuff exists. Each article is judged on its own merits as to whether it meets the notability criteria of WP:ORG; as such, not every business merits an article here, even within the same field. 331dot (talk) 19:52, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
